And yet it democrats in democrat districts that are dying. 80% of the deaths NYC are in districts that hillary won with 79% of the vote. Not seeing a problem here. You should have drank the lysol skippy.

@Agolf Twittler he was right stupid. The mortality rate is lower than seasonal flu. Have you been sleeping. 637,000 die from heart disease every year, but i love the selctive outrage.

@Don Williams 28k of 10 million NY population have died. The virus hasn’t peaked in other states. Will get back here after a month.

    • Don Williams | May 10, 2020 at 11:11 AM | Reply

darth_vader how many of those 28k in NY actually died from something else but it was just thrown into CORONA? Seems NYC and a 50 mile radius is who should have to stay home. Di Blasio, Cuomo are to blame for that mess.

I give Texas a month and when bodies drop, they will have shutdown longer. Some of these states have more deaths than some countries out there.

    • @Goose Step the media absolutely talks about the risk being greater for older folks. Do you not realize that young folks can take it to older folks? Do you not also realize that younger people are dying ? Omigosh you keep people can’t be this dumb… maybe you’re purposely being obtuse? I just don’t get it… you can deny that the virus is serious all you want, but that’s not going to stop the virus.

    • bridgettedenise | May 9, 2020 at 12:48 PM | Reply

serious no not dumb. Just left the democratic plantation

    • Goose Step | May 9, 2020 at 1:02 PM | Reply

serious you are correct , much like the common cold or the flu young people can bring Covid-19 to older folks! That said, do you understand that this virus is here to stay and there is no getting rid of it. So is the answer, to come up with long term safety protocols and practices to protect the must vulnerable while opening up society OR do we shut down society until the economy collapse and everyone is severely depressed and suicidal? If your answer is to shut down you are insane! Life must continue people need to work to sustain or livelihoods. Stop being a fear monger! If you want life to end just end your own. Don’t force others to live your misery!

    • @bridgettedenise jokes on you… I am not a Democrat or Republican and have no faith in either party. I just know right from wrong

    • @Goose Step why does a shutdown have to bring the economy to a halt? Don’t you understand that Americans pay billions and trillions of dollars in the form of taxes? You don’t think the government could use that to take care of their people for a few months until this thing died down a bit? Have we seriously learned nothing from South Korea, and Italy? I don’t understand the rush to open up the economy… Protesters should be protesting the government withholding taxpayer funds and putting people’s lives in danger , that’s the real travesty and that’s the only reason why the economy is crashing. America is more than capable enough of taking care of people while we wait for this thing to reduce. Of course I know it’s going to be with us, but recklessly reopening the country is a worse idea then you I can imagine. I’ve worked in a hospital… You have no idea what this thing is capable of. So you can say I’m fear fear-mongering, but until you seen the true suffering that this virus brings, you really needs to be humble.

Good lord your ignorant, we are all ready in a recession.

Unemployment soars up, and the stock market is crashed. Do you know basic economics ❓❓

      Source: Bloomberg Economics
The recession probability model developed by Bloomberg economists Eliza Winger, Yelena Shulyatyeva, Andrew Husby and Carl Riccadonna incorporates a range of data spanning economic conditions, financial markets and gauges of underlying stress.

The surge in the recession probability mainly reflects the shocking jobless claims figures, but plummeting stock prices for much of the month also played a role. The model’s reading on the odds for February came in at 33%. At the time of the prior report, Bloomberg Economics took account of early financial market data for March, putting the odds at 53%.

@Gemin_Ice first of all to have intellectual conversation you have to know how to read. I said New York City not New York State. What about Michigan, Massachusetts, New Jersey they have more death than Sweden by each state by themselves.

  14. Remember in November when the death toll skyrockets in the next months it was all because of the Republicans’ impatience and states’ lack of support from Failed Trump.

  15. Trump: I have total authority
Also Trump: I take zero responsibility.

There is no proof staying home save lives look at Sweden they have no lockown and yet they have less death than New York City by themselves. All it did was ruin the economy and turn U.S. into chaos.
