  1. Good luck to American people; the Congress will just keep doing their “wait and see” method and nothing will get done. In other words, every man for themselves.

    1. @Thyalwaysseek Maybe his instincts and intuitions are correct. Maybe being saturated with the flow of events leads him to a feeling coupled with some hope and faith that even this impasse can be overcome. Maybe cynicism is the easy way out for weaklings that usually, more than simply get nothing done – actually get in the way and impede any attempt to effect change. Maybe we could use some cautious optimism.

    2. I am sure that I won’t be the first to say this, but the Democrat controlled Congress, has Passed over 300 bills, that the Republican Senate has refused to table.

    3. @Fae Hansen and then McConnell led them all out the back door, and they skulked away in the shadows.

    4. @larryconcepts Maybe you could stop looking at yourself in the mirror while you declaim and realize that us lesser souls have no idea what you are talking about.

    1. But she will get intensley and savagely attacked by the President and All the presidents men. Better be thoroughly vetted!

    2. But Pence talks with God, so that’s OK. Pence can also walk on water and turn water into wine. Pence can also lie.

  2. Hot tip for helping us out of the recession/depression. Legalize marijuana. I don’t even smoke but it seems odd that it’s illegal when alcohol and cigarettes are. Also it would boost our economy with farming jobs, packaging plants and retail stores. Look at wa, ca and other states where it’s legal in.

    1. Ro G If that is so, I wonder further how many incidents in that 12% have their nucleus in the [illegal] commerce of cannabis?

    2. Sarah Cordova
Drug policies are really terrible. In Germany it is basically the same as in the US.
Alcohol is alright for our society. At 16 years old, we can buy beer and wine.
2 Million out of our 80 Million people are alcoholics or have a severe drinking problems.
I wouldn’t say marijuana is harmless, but if there were some restrictions on its max potency, it seems fine.
Most people just think all drugs are bad. As a child I was told drugs make one mad.
With just a little search on Wikipedia, you can see, how harmful scientists think, certain drugs are.
Alcohol doesn’t seem good at all. Drunk driving, beaten wifes/children, accidents.
Alcohols impact on society is terrible.
Also right now is the perfect time to stay home and smoke a joint.

    3. I agree totally and I don’t smoke BUT I don’t care if others do, I sure don’t condemn them for it.

  3. Let’s please get close to a deal for the American people who are the ones that are suffering through this crisis. Please don’t call us lazy. That is ridiculous.

    1. Why are we paying useless lazy GOP republicans who have derailed from reality yearly to do nothing or to make it hard for us?!
They are supposed to serve all of us, the people, not the corporates.
      VOTE MITCH AND TRUMP OUT!!!

    2. They think the line to a new job is 5 people. Well guess what the Trump virus has us competing with thousands for one job. The percentage of jobless people should speak volumes. Guess who puts the money in your paycheck. The tax dollars and we have the voting power to remove anyone who doesn’t serve us.

    3. @suan Cruisin . . . then vote for Joe Biden in November and vote a straight Democratic ticket. Get those greedy, crooked, lying Republicans out of Washington and let’s get back to governing America rather than raping her.

  4. Can we de-insentivize Congress by cutting their pay and dropping their health insurance?
Congress, do your job and pass a humane stimulus package!

    1. Their wages and jobs are laughable. Next to nothing compared to the lobbyist grab bags and policy driven wealth shifting. These empty gestures make rhetoric for the working class wage earner who doesn’t understand money as wealth, only as ‘income’. Also there is a blanket popular misconception about the relationship of wealth to POWER. Rather than dropping my usual mini-essay on the topic I suggest some light introduction to Chomsky, or someone like him. Once you look, the power structures are obvious to the point of GLARING.

    2. Why are we paying useless lazy GOP republicans who have derailed from reality yearly to do nothing or to make it hard for us?!
They are supposed to serve all of the people, not the corporates.
      VOTE MITCH AND TRUMP OUT!!!

    3. The Democrate-ruled House did just that in MAY, but the grim reaper Mitch McConnell is doing nothing, and trump is playing golf!

    4. It is not “Congress” that is causing the problem . . . it is the Republicans in Congress that are the problem . . . Vote them ALL out in November, each and every one of them and Dump Trump. Biden in 2020!

  5. On November 3rd, the American people will unite as one and collectively say:
    “DONALD J. TRUMP, YOU’RE FIRED!!”

    1. @George Florence It’s not a fantasy. David Duke will be the next Secretary of State. Alex Jones will be the next National Security Advisor. Are you ready? 😉

    2. @ala ska . . . wow, you say that most Americans hate the left now? On what do you base that moronic statement?

    3. @Child of the Light . . . .and the truth will set you free! The problem is, which truth – the truth of Leviticus or the truth of John? . . . . It’s ALL in the same Bible.

    4. @Kaptain Kid Outside the big Democrat SHITHOLE Cities (18% of US Population) the Left barely exists. You actually believe your own MSM LIES.
      LMAO.

  6. It must TRULY stink, being an average US American these days. Living in a country run by robber barons for decades is not sustainable – and you have nowhere to run!

    1. They haven’t woken up to the fact they’re all screwed, they actually believe there are two different political parties.

    2. The robber baron era of the Gilded Age was followed by the Progressive Era – let’s hope that happens again. And talk about a country run by robber barons – there wasn’t even income tax back then!

    3. I would leave this country if I could. It is a racially diseased society and a failed democratic experiment.

  7. Australian: My question to my American husband of twenty years: Do people who lose their homes, or renters lose their rental addresses, also lose their vote , or need to reregister to vote? I would be putting this question to the American people because if the answer is yes, they lose the vote, then those people are being disenfranchised by a government that has knowingly slowed down the relief stimulus! Voters beware.

    1. Karen Byrd : It’s hold power, or go to jail, for the GOP. Trump, Bill Barr, the whole family and Cabinet KNOWS this. The question isn’t, “If they’ll cheat,” it’s HOW THEY’LL DENY ELECTIONS ALTOGETHER. What do you think Barr is up to? He’s selecting Pro-Trump cops from all over America, RIGHT NOW, building his SS units, from a police force that’s as Divided as America is. They don’t have a choice, from their point of view. The indictments and arrests will begin on the same day as the inauguration, and those who haven’t fled the country will be rounded up. They KNOW THIS!

    2. Alisa Johns : But, when you have an, “address,” does that take your status of, “homeless,” from you? Obviously, people will be reluctant to give up assistance, or render themselves no longer entitled to help? Can you still be homeless and have a mailing address? ✌️

    3. Irish: Had same thoughts. Looking at some replies surprised not been brought up by media. Real nasty way to stay in power.

    4. @Ash Roskell No doubt about it. If President Trump loses which he wont he’s going to jail. Fabricated evidence the congress has it. A judge that will believe it? We already know they have that too.

  8. An Not To Mention 4 Million People Have Died From This Pandemic Stop Down Playing This Please 🙏 Government

    1. Gaujellyjar We all have. No one can stand three years with a 74 years old president acting like an ADHD toddler. It’s absolutely exhausting.

    2. Hans Yolo I have, but that’s not the point.
Whether Trump acknowlegde it and/or like it; the US is of tradition the worlds most powerful nation.
Trumps withdrawal from almost all alliances or treaties leave the rest of the world with a giant vaccuum.
Dictators know they do as they please now.
Plus I am really worried for your country too. Trump declared war on the US before he moved in in the White House. Putin will sorely miss his servant, should he move out next January.

  9. In germany it is common that the social security system pays for your home if you’re unemployed. If you live in a house or flat that is big you might have to move to a smaller one after a certain period of time. But even the cost for this move are provided. Although the beauracracy nessecary to get the benefits is a nightmare and you usually have to take a job if one is offered.
I don’t understand why the US isn’t using something alike if they really want to incentivise work. It would increase the resilliance of the US economy greatly regarding to economic shocks ….
I’m talking out of selfinterest aswell here. The european economy was hit as hard as the US economy. We are interdependent connected. What hurts you is hurting us and vice versa.
I hope that you’ll come out of this crises stronger than before. Hang in there.

    1. @Dennis O’Brien You’re just qualifying his remarks, not showing that they’re “completely false and misleading”. But thank for the nuance.

    2. @larryconcepts no I just got a snippet many do not qualify for the assistance he is spruiking ,look it up .

    3. @Like an axiom . . . What Germans don’t understand (and I understand Germans, I owned a house in Germany for more than 25 years and was married to a German woman for 33 years) is that the state of California alone has the same number of population as the entire of Germany. That America is not a social welfare state and that the American and the German mentalities are totally different and therefore their approaches to solving problems is totally different.

  10. The most insulting thing is basically calling all these people and families “lazy” who have been put out of work due to this pandemic and not a choice they made voluntarily. Sheesh. It shows the warped Trumpublican mindset. #ByeDon2020

    1. @Don Townsend Show me those polls. I bet you couldn’t do it, even if I broke your tiny little fingers one at a time. C’mon, twerp… show us those polls from California.

    2. @Tessmage Tessera …..Trump approval rating with blacks now at 36%, Rasmussen …
      https://www.usatoday.com › news › politics › onpolitics › 2018/08/16 › tr…
Aug 16, 2018 – Trump at 36 percent approval among African-Americans, new poll finds … approval ratings among black voters: 36%,” Rasmussen said in a …

    3. Eric Klaus
Yeah so, that’s what I’m taking about, the Trumpublicans in congress are sickening. The $600 UI add on equates to a $15/hour wage, and they say it’s too generous and keeps all these “lazy” people from going back to work. Well if your job is not there bc of covid how do you go back to work? And they want people to make due with even less while protecting corporations from liability. Moron.

    1. @tcnascar1
      Lincoln the Gettysburg address
Trump, Man, Woman, Camera, Person, TV. who laughs last, laughs last

    2. @GoT fan 2320 Try to express yourself in a more literate fashion if you want to pretend that I am stupid.

    1. @Bobby Nelson Nobody cares. Trump is going to lose. Then he’s going to prison. His supporters will be punished for the rest of their lives. Cry now.

    2. @BLAIR M Schirmer . . . you state a narrow-minded platitude. I’m 77 years old and I’ve known all my life that all politics is dirty, so you have told me nothing I don’t know. Sadly, in America we must determine which party is LESS criminal. In my opinion the Democrats are less criminal than the Republicans and this has been proved over and over again within my lifetime, if not before.

  11. This country doesn’t care about its people. Nothing has changed since its inception. So why are we surprised because of pandemic.

    1. @The eternal cheerleader . . . “This country” does care about its people. The people ARE the country. It is Donald Trump and his Republican Administration, and in particular the Republicans in the US Senate who don’t care about the American people. The Republicans and Donald Trump gave billions to big business while Joe Lunchbucket begs for a measly $600. Go figure. Biden for president.

    2. @Kaptain Kid so um why does the alleged richest country not helping its over 33 million people while the
      UK giving 80% of salary
      Canada 2k a month
      Denmark 75% salary
US 1 $1200 ck for some people.
We the people voted these cruel greedy government in and then keep them in office even though many are living in poverty. Why would people in the poorest states keep voting in criminals, because they don’t want anyone to be happy or prosperous they like themselves. I don’t carebif its the repubs or dems. They all are greedy and allow corruption to run ramped all the time. Why don’t they forgo their salaries and health insurance during this time. And when this pandemic is over they need to PAY for their own Health insurance and forgo all benefits and pay like their constituents do. How about that even the playing field. But like most Americans we think that isn’t right for them to experience what we Americans experience on a daily basis. The uncertainty the fear the hunger the homelessness. What happened to believing in humanity instead of MONEY MONEY MONEY POWER GREED POWER GREED. Why don’t we believe a human life is more important than money or power.
YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU.

    1. On November 3rd, please remember all of the innocent Americans who have died needlessly, due to Trump’s incompetence. *BLUE WAVE 2020*

    2. @Tessmage Tessera Ur dying isn’t nice to watch as Truth is exposed. But thanks for helping DESTROY the COMMUNIST that have destroyed the Democrat Party. RAGE SOME MORE RIOTS and expose it MORE!

  12. My heart goes out to the American people. What Trump and his gutless administration have unleashed on them will forever be etched on one of history’s political tragedies.

  13. Wasn’t Tim Kaine the person who was willing to stand by Hillary as she would’ve destroyed the USA? Go figure
