You could disagree on politics with Reagan but there was no debate he loved his country and in a crisis would represent all Americans unlike Trump. Avoid USPS. If you haven’t yet voted you must vote in person but please be safe (mask-up, bring food, water & book or music i.e. make it a picnic or fun if you can). Alternatively, hand deliver your ballot to a drop box or election official office as specified by your state. It is too late to trust the mail system if you want your vote counted. In the late 1970s Americans who had then popular adjustable mortgages rates were soaring to nearly 20%, 400 or so Americans were being held hostage in Iran. American manufacturing was also cratering as Germany and Japan had rebuilt and were offering products of higher quality at lower prices. In the 1980s you would have to have your head examined to buy an American car (which would be in the repair shop every week) or a Japanese import that could deliver 250K without complaint. To Reagan’s credit however, when things went wrong, he would admit it, he would own it, he would be honest. That’s what we need today: honesty, integrity and compassion. BIDEN/HARRIS is the way to the future.

Oh, I don’t know about that, maybe in the history of US elections, but look outside a elections in Africa or places like Belarus. They don’t even pretend to be fair. And when I was young, I saw film of soldiers guarding ballot boxes while people lined up to vote in the Soviet Union; the soldier would take the ballot, look at it while the person stood there, then put it in the ballot box. This is precisely why armed, uniformed people are not allowed to guard polling places.
