Both the GOP AND the Dems voted for the CARES Act, which passed trillions to the top. And now they’re haggling over the peanuts to give to the rest of us — after almost a year of COVID. This is an action taken by BOTH parties. So, stow the “GOP is BAD but Dems are GOOD” nonsense because it’s not going to wash anymore

There are plenty of books written (before Trump ran for office) about the rise of Hitler and fascism in Germany. Trump checked off all 14 characteristics.
The definition you are using is when the government actually owns the corporations, which isn’t possible in capitalism.
The closest thing we have to that definition is the Republicans giving tax breaks and bail outs to corporations instead of people.

as a Kid living in LA county in California , I remember watching this young man, starting his career here, speaking so clear and without opinion, we learned to Trust this young man when he gave us the evening news, then he got his big break and got the Top job in New York and we knew he had Made it to the Top of his profession and we here back in LA were so Proud of him. He was ” our boy ”. Thank you Tom Brokaw, for your truth and compassion and dedication to your craft Enjoy retirement and keep writing books if you may, we will wait for your words in print just as we waited for your words on our Televisions.
