  1. Trying to make abortion as close to impossible as they can while providing no paternity leave and no affordable health care is so insidious I can’t even wrap my head around it..

    1. @Barbara Ann
They are doing their job. You just don’t like a decision that doesn’t favor you. There is also a legal way to institute rights. It’s called constitutional amendment. And yes constitutional amendment got a high bar for a good reason, so that something can only be recognized as right when it’s really so.

    2. @Julianne Hunter Republicans are also American. How abt convincing them of ur idea. Remember the country is made for everyone. If the idea is really a great one, even Republicans will agree. Little faith on our fellow Americans could help

    3. @Barbara Ann the 9th amendment gives you no rights,. Until an activist judge in griswold magically found a right there. The court always until this point considered the 9th as a companion to the 10th to state there may be more rights and anything not given to the federal government remains with the state/people and they can decide if there are rights they want to add.

    4. @Rose Sims I know I agree with you it’s unbelievable. It is so great to finally have a Supreme court that will follow the Constitution.

  2. Between 2003 and 2007, Virginia Thomas, a longtime conservative activist, earned $686,589 from the Heritage Foundation, according to a Common Cause review of the foundation’s IRS records. Thomas failed to note the income in his Supreme Court financial disclosure forms for those years, instead checking a box labeled “none” where “spousal noninvestment income” would be disclosed

    1. @Kevin C I’m a never have never will DTrumpher. Lost the election biggly
      Grifting all his miserable life.

    2. @Stacey Cramer I watch current events from a variety of sources to include but not limited to BBC Deutsche Welle and domestic but never fox

    3. @Aaron Morath Not a single thing. No fraud. Even the lawyers, when asked if they were claiming voter fraud, they said NO. So no, nothing the mango Mussolini said was born out by the courts.

  3. Over 30 years Clarence Thomas did not make any comments on the u.s Supreme Court

    1. “when Trump argued that his financial records should be kept secret in defiance of subpoenas… we heard Thomas ask 17 questions that day — nearly six times as many as he has asked in public arguments over all the last 14 years. Before this month, Thomas hadn’t asked a single question since March 2019.” -abcnews

seems thomas is more comfortable expressing himself on webcam than in person, since he suddenly started talking at oral arguments gor the first time when covid forced remote hearings.

    1. “Black women are acting irresponsibly by giving birth to baby after baby out of wedlock. Most of these children are from different fathers as well.”
      Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson

  4. That’s the problem with letting the foxes make up rules for the hen houses, tends to lead to lots of blood and feathers!

    1. @shade38211 how nice of you to regurgitate reich wing propaganda. You do know it’s widely known whenever repugthugians accuse someone they’re actually confessing. Also noticed you didn’t try to define woman.

    2. @norm simpson The Queen of England is the head of state and the head of the Anglican church. Some Americans consider America to be Christian but it is also Atheist, Jew, Islamic, Buddhist etc. Tell me in what way you can freely and publicly follow any political ideology or religion in Iran.

  5. Article III, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution reads that judges shall remain in their position so long as they follow “good behaviour.” Impeach, Remove, Replace.

    1. @Dark Passenger – People like you live in an alternate reality – you think and say the most ridiculous things like they actually mean something. Just for fun – name ONE country ruled from the hard right that has expanded civic or individual liberties, or that you would like to see the USA emulate…

    2. It’s a lifetime appointment. Sarah Palin promotes 2nd Amendment Remedies.
I love it when a plan comes together.

  6. When I was young and stupid I rooted for his confirmation because I thought I was a republican and actors made good presidents.

    1. that was before the stump era where we live now everything is upside down and all laws are going back to the 1600 or even earlier

  7. Intellectual heft? Even Scalia thought Thomas was a radical nut, complaining that Thomas “does not believe in stare decisis. Period.” If it was up to Thomas, he would wipe away the entire administrative state as unconstitutional. It’s impossible to overstate just how crazy that is.

    1. “Daniel Riley”: Great comment! We are living through very scary times, indeed. Have a great day!

    2. Scalia and Thomas are conjoined twins working with the same body and mind. Do not try to separate.

  8. “The process of democracy is one of change. Our laws are not frozen into immutable form, they are constantly in the process of revision in response to the needs of a changing society.”
    -Thurgood Marshall

  9. I am a son of ex judge and practicing lawyer, in my country you have to write a nation wide public competitive test with a law degree to become a judge and retire at 70. And you can only get on to supreme court when you atleast have 15 year experience at national district court, if all the justices on current supreme court aprove of you and it has minimal political involvement. I believe judge for lifetime is way too far and a court can only serve justice when all or most of it’s citizens have trust in them otherwise they just would be serving opinions.

    1. @Joseph Jones but u should. the way you americans handle things is absurd. the whole political and judicial system is a joke in the US and you should look at other countries. almost every country in the EU does a better job.

    2. thanks but the usa does not need to take advice from other countries. we lead the way and protect and care for the entire earth. we just gave 100 billion to ukraine for no reason. we are the only ones doing anything anywhere.

  10. Thomas is a joke, he has a wife who has gone rogue, without regard to the position he holds. Also, how can one be “pro life “, yet for the “death penalty”? I have no respect for this man!

    1. @Shlep Messing Yes, to be a fly on the wall regarding their sex fantasies. On second thought, forget that

    2. @Rachel Garber there have been innocent people condemned to death, even 1 innocent person sentenced to death is too many. You’re right, no one knows what an aborted fetus would have become.

    3. @Michael Farkas I don’t have any respect for Mr. Thomas, I could care less about the fact that he’s a Black man. I’ve found nothing to respect!🤷🏾‍♀️

  11. Thomas’s view will not be “vindicated” when Roe gets overturned. It will be forcibly imposed on a country that decidedly doesn’t want it.

    1. @crap cutter No there is extreme gerrymandering in the states. The people don’t decide anything

    2. @L Banbury i didnt realize the gerrymandering was so rampant. i just read a state judge in maryland threw out a congressional map drawn up by democrats…citing extreme gerrymandering. and in NY ..a state judge ruled that a map drawn up by democrats had been unconstitutionally drawn with political bias. It seems judges are striking gerrymandering down. Thanks for pointing this out!!!

  12. Justice Thomas should retire or be impeached for his conflict of interest and inaction to recuse himself from numerous cases which are a conflict of interest because of his wife’s involvement in certain groups. The inaction of Congress because of Republican members who don’t hold their own accountable or a Supreme Court Justice for his conflict of interest needs to be reviewed and updated to ensure accountability is adhered to.

  13. How can anyone claim to be pro-life while being an advocate for the death penalty? Religious zealots are hypocrites

    1. @ULTRA MAGA 🇺🇸
You can’t dumb it down any more than using the avatar “ULTRA MAGA”

    2. @Davey Creeker you’re never going to be in a position where you can dumb down anything for anyone. 🤡

    3. @Davey Creeker That’s a totally different argument. Point is the person on death row is believed to be guilty. The child is innocent by all accounts

    4. Just because a company hires you as an employee doesn’t mean they won’t fire you if you f up. Doesn’t make the hypocritical. Company is still pro jobs. They gave you a chance. You ruined it.

  14. Thomas’s unwillingness to recuse himself in regard to the decision of the Select Committee receiving the texts (that contained ones from his wife) says everything we need to know about his lack of morality and character. He should be impeached.

    1. How does someone get to be like him is my question. How can that be remedied for humanity as a whole.❤️‍🔥

    2. They need to kick him out period! He was trying to help a criminal him an his crazy ladie! Can’t call her a wife because she’s too dam crazy an easy to brainwash! In my lifetime I never thought we had this much weak minded people in America!

  15. When you said Thomas’ opinions have “intellectual heft” I literally laughed out loud.

“Who has put pubic hair on my Coke?”
    — Clarence Thomas

  16. “Law of the land,” hardly. Roe vs Wade was never anything more than one decision relative to the 14th Amendment, though it admittedly set strong precedent for nearly 5 decades, it was never an actual law.
The true “law of the land” are actual laws passed by government.
Trying to make the courts responsible for creating laws is always weak. Government, go write the real laws please; based on Everyone’s participation.
