  1. OMG! It’s so rare to see someone actually call people out for their lies and hold them accountable right on the spot. Geesh!

    1. I agree. Alice Stuart called Al Franken’s lie out, but she did a bad job explaining her statement. What do you expect from a CNN paid Republican strategist?

    2. @Bato Keto Wasn’t accused of rape. Doesn’t change the fact that what he said is true. Maybe Someone stealing government records shouldnt be condemning abuse of government records and increasing the penalty for it.

    3. No one wants to hear from someone who stole government records but yet, condemned the act and increased the penalty for the act.

    1. Yes she will get up there and lie where is her integrity and do they get paid that much money that they lose their souls

    1. The Biden Rule kept Merrick Garland from being considered as US Sup. Ct. Judge. You would think that a former Congressman like comedian Al Franken would know more about his own former job.

  2. Love you so much Al Franken!!!!! Standing up….standing up….standing up for the truth. PLEASE RUN AGAIN & PUT YOURSELF BACK INTO THE POLITICAL MIX. I’m a Texan, but I would just about move my damn self to your state so I could vote for you. WE NEED YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. @David Mitchell …….Weak deflection. No one made a generalized statement. I specifically referred to the GOP pundits that appear on CNN. “I don’t make generalized statements”…….LOL really??

  3. I love how Al Franken put her in her place- BRAVO. He did not let her off the hook. I’m glad Acosta let them talk or let her studder

  4. Thank you CNN for letting the whole conversation play out. No awkward cutaways, no spins back to the planned topic… Good work!

  5. AL: “Tell me when this happened before?”
Alice: “When you’re this close to an election…”
AL: “Tell me when this happen before!?”
Alice: “Well I am- full- of- shi- well- I-
AL: “You can’t tell me! You know why? It has NEVER happen before!”

    1. You and Al just hit the nail the head. I have seen this Alice Steward before on CNN. What a phony talking head and CNN pays her.

  6. I just love watching this interview. The Alice must be getting paid a lot of money from the republicans to subject herself to this kind of call out. She takes hit after hit and still try ti lie herself out of it. She stutters so much trying to find answers. She doesn’t understand or just can’t bullshit her way out of it. Make a statement of “fact” but can’t find any references to her statement. Wondering if she actually felt good about her interview.
Trying to defend and deflect the truth is one big headache for republicans. They used to be honest debaters but not any more. The republican party has devolved into a party of deceit, lies and religious dogma. Another hypocrisy is they say they are the party of religious freedom but they don’t adhere to one of the most important teachings. Do Not Bear False Witness! INOTHER WORDS…DO NOT LIE!

  7. What you’ve see here is a man who is educated on what he’s speaking about, trying to get facts from an incredibly misguided woman, who only has talking points that have been fed to her. She’s stumbling over her words because she lost them when she was called out for hypocrisy. We need more of this.

    1. @Jon Carlson her GOP talking point program short circuited. She kept trying to reboot the system and Franken wasn’t letting it happen 🤣

  8. This is a perfect example of how these people try to change reality. Thank you for calling out the gaslighting & lies senator Franken.

    1. I can’t believe she used Garland as the example as to when it happened before…you can’t make this stuff up lol

  9. Her GOP operating system kept crashing. You could see her trying to reboot coached talking points over and over again 😂

  10. Way to go, Al. It was great to see that he wouldn’t let Alice Stewart get away with lying and deflecting. Her discomfort was palpable and well deserved.

    1. Yeah it was a simple statement but it makes complete sense “If you don’t like abortion, don’t have one”. Let others live their lives. I don’t like country music but do I think it should be outlawed for others, heck no. Let those people listen to that awful dribble if they want to 🙂
