    1. Sending someone to jail for just illegally owning a gun or just illegally having drugs is a bad idea. Jail is a college of crime. Low risk criminals become career criminals after going in and out of jail.

  1. So Trudeau is anti-gun but soft on crime ?? Egads what an embarrassment to have to refer to him as Prime Minister.

    2. @Johnny Goodman but carjacking someone with a gun only gets you house arrest. It’s in his bill C-5. Lol. Yup soft on real crime too.

  2. Seems a bit odd, banning handguns from legally and licensed gun owners but legalized hard drugs users and criminals get reduced penalties for criminals.

    1. @Andrew Smith You sure about that? I don’t see that in there… feel free to identify where in C-22 that change is made. Also note that *THIS* proposed legislation *increases* the penalty for trafficking firearms.

  3. Same old story from him .. he doesn’t understand that its not the legal guns that are the problem.

    1. can you tell me what a legal gun owner looks like so i can avoid criminals, Please and thankyou.

  4. serious penalties 10 years jail time ? no this justice system rewards criminals and punish law abiding citizens .

    1. are you suggesting getting rid of speed limits cause they don’t work….hey lets get rid of all laws cause criminals don’t obey them. That’s conservative logic.

  5. He is soft on crime because if he is found guilty of the crimes he apparently commits on a regular basis, he needs laxed laws for criminals – there always has to be something in it for him – to his benefit.

    2. @Johnny Goodman hate to tell ya but have you noticed crimes going up with less harsh sentences?

    3. @Garrett Nelson I haven’t notices less harsh sentences. I’ve noticed crime going up with no change in sentences. Stats canada shows that the Canadian prison population is actually increasing. So it seems the sentences are actually more harsh.

  6. So what he is saying is that only the criminals will be able to get hand guns and get a free out of jail card.

  7. if everyone had a dollar for every time Trudeau used the phrase “Keep Canadians Safe” …

    1. Apparently, Canadians believe him cause yall have not gotten rid of him yet!!! WHY THE HELL NOT??? GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER CANADA AND GET RID OF THIS DEMON!!!!

    1. @Ashbringer36 the Canadian PM is protected by the RCMP, these are officers of the law, not the populace, the populace should only have hunting riffles, and not assault weapons!

    2. @Gilles Charbonneau assault weapon is anything used to assault someone not a specific type of firearm

    3. @Gilles Charbonneau I repeat my original statements, our leaders should only be protected by the hardware that the populace is allowed to utilize, no exceptions

    4. @Ashbringer36 silly statement, the RCMP is the top Canadian law enforcement agency, it’s like saying the populace should be as well-equipped as the FBI, complete nonsense!

    5. @Grey Whiteman No he would not. And he knows that. little goof flees a province due to protests and cried how many times on television?

  8. Trudeau focus on the major issues affecting Canadians ie. inflation, housing, health care and the economy. Legal Gun owners are not an issue in Canada. Trudeau is clueless, incompetent . The sooner we rid ourselves of this screwball the better.

    2. there not going to arrest the legal gun owners lol there just telling you that you don’t have to be a coward anymore because anyone seen with a gun will be arrested INCLUDEING the criminals.

  9. I’m onside with “criminals do not need legal guns to commit crimes”. I’m sure criminals have access to illegal guns whenever they want one. My observation from this video is that 50% of the room has no mask and 50% have a mask. This is unbelievable. It’s time to seriously think about retiring and find a beach somewhere south. 🤦🏻‍♂

    1. He doesn’t know what he is talking about. And how is taking the rights away from law abiding citizens that are vetted every 24 hours making sense to ANYONE?

  10. Each of these events is seen as a wonderful opportunity by our govt to exploit emotion in their never-ending quest take away rights (particularly of self defense) from law abiding citizens.

    1. What makes somebody a law abiding citizen ? can you tell me what they look like so i can avoid the criminals.

    2. @James Ball a right to private property that has not been used in a crime and was purchased legally from a certified seller to a fully vetted legal gun owner. How would like if they said well there was a drunk driver in your city/town so we are confiscating all personally owned vehicles for your safety. Absurd right.

  11. It is FAR easier to ban legally owned firearms that ACTUALLY doing anything to solve the problem. Its just easier and looks better on TV.

  12. *Politicians:* “There is no need for anyone to require a gun, even for protection.”
*Public:* “So will this apply to you and your security details as well?”
*Politicians:* “No, we are still going to need to have guns for protection.”
Rules for thee, not for me

  13. I know criminals are extremely happy about this!!!! Criminal: “Woooo, so many new soft targets!” Criminals friend: “And we’ll be the only ones that will still be able to get guns! Hell yea!”

Wonder when they’ll apply laws to criminals instead of law abiding citizens…
