I object to the idea of dying for Donald Trumps administration. As he has said before, trump has no accountability

    • @Michael Timely Fourtenly the sheep are at CNN and MSNBC. So do not worry. There are not many. You should stock up on tissues. This election is going to be a shocker for you, again. ;)) #WalkAway #Winning #Brexit #MAGA. Did you know that over 2000 marched in Washington for Trump? Black Americans are waking up.

@Danny Talbert If they were sheep they would all be watching the same show on the same channel at the same time then repeating what they heard almost verbatim the next day, just like what happens with FOX. Seriously I don’t honestly think you’re too stupid to understand what the meaning of sheep really is.

    • @Danny Talbert *_You know that sniffing bicycle seats only leads to more voices in your head. We’re all sorry your inflatable love doll cut you off. Relax, the restraints are for your own protection. Help is on the way. The Dufus Parade called; they miss you ever so much, and they are lost without their leader. You can rejoin them after a few more shock treatments. Now drink your Clorox & Coke like a good girl._*

    • *_Trump is highly skilled at the art of the con.  “Con” is short for confidence, and it is based on gaining confidence or trust from the potential victim.  The skilled con is an expert at “baiting” the rube . . . telling the target what he wants to hear as the “bait”, inspiring trust or confidence.  Trump is truly a dedicated master baiter, spending a great deal of time each day master baiting his base._*

    • If you are afraid of it, Stay home. wear your mask and stay ten feet away from everybody. This what we should have done to start with. This Virus is not very Deadly unless you are 80 years old, or weigh 400 lbs.

  5. And yes, everything touched by the orange clown dies.

  6. The Republican Party has no backbone. Letting itself be completely overtaken by Trump and his propaganda wing Fox “News”

  7. Trump is only “admitting” to this “strategy” because this makes it seem less like he’s been doing absolutely nothing about the pandemic.

    • Forget about Trump getting COVID-19 immunity on his own. Trump would be a dead man if it weren’t for Walter Reed doctors.

    • Exactly.
“Herd immunity” is not a strategy, it’s a scientific term describing
what happens when during a pandemic a certain percentage of the
population, has immunity, either from a vaccine or from infection, so
that exponential growth stops. For measles you need 98 percent immunity. For
COVID it’s ESTIMATED that 50-70 is necessary, but no one knows. There
is no certainty about either a vaccine or immunity after
infection. There are always 5 renegade scientists out of maybe
10,000 who will say anything, andTrump has found some like Scott
Atlas who push this idea of using herd immunity as a strategy. The idea
is “of course we will protect the vulnerable, but we’ll let the
healthy young people get infected”. This is impossible to
actually do, especially in Trump’s US. For instance, the community
spread went up in her town, after the university was opened (and then shut
again); as a result one person in the retirement community where Mom lives
got infected. As a result10 helpers (including the wonderful people who
help Mom) have to quarantine for 14 days. It’s almost inevitable when
there is community spread due to “herd immunity” being adopted that it
is impossible to protect the “vulnerable”. Expect millions of
deaths: say a 1 percent death rate of 300 million gives 3 million.

This is completely delusional, idealistic libertarian ideology that will get millions killed, now that (for political reasons) it’s Trump’s official policy.

    • its better to not do anything about it than murder people and say he did something about it. if this is true, this is mass murder.

    • @Ron Swanson TROLL ALERT!!

    • The lysol hydroxy and uv light enema idea didn’t work out I guess

  8. He should hug and kiss everyone who attend his rallies 😂😜 Reinfection is true. Just took care of a patient who was positive last July, and back again this October, positive again, and she got intubated this time🙄

Did you report this? The other day they said there was the first and only case of this happening in the US, which was in either Utah or Nevada I think. However, I’m almost certain I’ve heard this happening several times here in the US before this last one was reported [where they have worsened symptoms with the reinfection]

I heard an interview with a Floridian Trump rally event where a woman said she wasn’t worried becaue of herd immunity and she could barely pronounce it. Isn’t this illegal in any way??????

  10. He said he would let it just “wash through” last spring.

  11. So, the trump administration has found a way to give a name, “herd immunity”, to the criminal neglect that has caused the death of well over 200,000 americans. There is a group of academics all ready and raring to go with this and they made “The Great Barrington Declaration”. It would not be far-fetched to think how convenient it is to have these academics declare, at this moment, that herd immunity is the way to go just to get trump “off the hook”. Their declaration makes many statements and none are backed with references. What they suggest will surely increase exponentially the number of people showing up at hospitals all over the country. At this moment, many Americans are following the CDC guidelines but look at the infection rate and death rate. Imagine what those numbers will look like if the whole of the population believes herd immunity is the way to go!

  12. The “new” policy is simply surrender, a tacit admission of defeat while, much, much worse, pretending it will lead to victory.

  13. Trump is taking Americans for a bunch of cattles, so he believes herd immunity should work on them.

  14. This is not a strategy, it is a lame excuse for gross ineptitude.

    • Philip Christiano | October 14, 2020 at 3:54 PM | Reply

      Exactly

    • @Philip Christiano Let’s see.
First you have to be convinced that herd immunity actually occurs for this virus. No one knows this for sure yet and their are other viruses where herd immunity doesn’t apply eg., the common cold which also is a coronavirus. We are now seeing cases of people who get infected for the second time, suggesting any immunity may only last a few months.
Second, you have to make some assumption about the % you need to infect to get herd immunity. Again no one knows whether it’s 40%, 60%, 80%. Obviously there’s a lot riding on how many people you need to infect – and how many will die – to get to herd immunity.
Third, you have to assume you can protect the vulnerable. There are 50 million of the over 65s in the US and about 95% of them live in regular communities, so living and mixing with the rest of the population who, by this strategy, you want to get infected as quickly as possible, so no masks, social distancing etc. Has anyone come up with a foolproof way to protect these 50 million? No? I thought so.
And finally, there doesn’t seem to be any consideration to those who get infected, survive but have permanent organ damage and that’s a pretty big number.
Other than these minor details it’s a pretty great strategy.

As Trump knows he’s leaving, he wants to take the country down with him.

    • That’s a child-like reaction for mentally disturbed people. When you’re upset because you’re loosing the game just turn the board upside down. Leave you the trouble of having to clean It up. Trump will be in Self exile if he knows what’s good for him. Let’s just hope the FBI will bring Case’s against pompeo and Barr.

      Gotterdamerung

    • That’s exactly what Hitler did in Germany during the downfall. He said that all the good Germans were dead and only the weak survived. History does repeat itself.

    • @Samual Terry Trump is a simple minded barbarian speaking to his barbarian’s lying every word is meant to steal a vote, Sucker doesn’t know when to quit.

    • @David Wilkerson Lol you’re using the clickbait opinion of a black man to try to change the minds of people. Sounds like the republicans lack diversity in voting lol

  17. “HERD” is exactly how we are viewed by Trump-Republicans. They consider us cattle.

    • Cattle are better than all of you. They don’t harm anyone.

    • We are the Cash Cows of America! XD

    • No we (I) don’t. I think I’m an American FIRST! WE ALL SHOULD THINK THIS WAY. My friend, think about this, why do they try to separate us so much? Really, who wins if ,let’s say…. Biden wins???? The presidency use to be a good thing to be a part of….if we stop and think about it…. all we do is hurt our country when we bicker like children. SMH. You’d think we’d be at war with each other….do they realize were ALL AMERICANS? I SAY BAN ALL LOBBYIST FROM POLITICS, AND IF THEY DO FIND THEM DOING THINGS FOR A CERTAIN ENTITY THEY GET KICKED OUT OF OFFICE AND JAILED…. ONLY WAY WEEE GOING TO GET THIS COUNTRY BACK

🤦🏼‍♂️…well it wasn’t that many years ago that people in the US were traded like cattle and bought like stock and treated like animals…so nothings changed basically 🕳⚰️🕳

  18. “Herd immunity for thee, not for me” *Trump* gets a emergency helicopter ride to a top-level military hospital, a team of more than a dozen expert doctors and aggressive, experimental treatments untethered to FDA guidelines…cost is no object. *YOU* are gonna get a stressed out sleep-deprived resident 18 months out of medical school making minimum wage and a overwhelmed nursing staff who wear garbage bags for PPE and recycle masks.

Good luck with that whole “herd immunity” thing. Your mileage may vary.

  19. “Stupid is as stupid does.” How much longer will people put up with criminals in the Whitehouse? Get them out. Vote. Vote early. Vote blue.

  20. “Herd mentality,” as Trump called it, is mass murder.
