President Trump and his administration are trying to reshape the American immigration system, as Ken Cuccinelli, the acting head of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, offered his tweak to the famous poem etched on the Statue of Liberty. “Give me your tired and your poor who can stand on their own two feet and who will not become a public charge,” he said on NPR’s Morning Edition. The administration rolled out a new policy that is set to reject green cards for immigrants likely to use public services.

I read what you wrote, and then I responded with essentially (and, I’ll rewrite it here because you’re too dense to comprehend it the first time) , yes most of these employers are self reporting their own illegal employees because they are provided benefits to do without consideration of how long they had employed illegal labor. And, THAT is why last year, even though raids were happening at the same rate, only 11 employers were not covered by self reporting protection. ALL WORKPLACE RAIDS OF 2018… only 11 didn’t self report in those raids.

@california w agreed that’s what happens with mass immigration. They move into a specific area and the people there before leave because of it. Then they form gangs and have very tribal tendencies. It takes a long time for them to assimilate to the surrounding culture, if they ever do at all. It’s not really a good thing because naturally people have problems with each other and violently clash

Well they already voted down a bill to help fix it. A bill to add 800 more judges to the positions for immigration to speed up the processing of immigrates. That will in turn get the number of them in the holding places the USA has to pay for and is both under funded and most likely illegal by our own laws to do.Make the process quicker by putting more people on it. The requirements are not the problem right now the lack of people who are able to be in the processing part is the problem. ICE is just an enforcement arm they do not make nor judge. So the problem is not with ICE as much as it falls on the department of justice and/or the branch of the government called the judicial system to not be able to find a way to process them all. Most likely needing more people to process them all. The lawyers to represent them are there it is just a question of setting a court date which someone them already have to wait until 2020 in effectively a illegally kept prison because of the lack of immigration judges to hear their cases. The judge will hear their case then decide weather they go back to where they came from or get a path to be here legally.
I am unsure who is truly to blame for the effective stop in the system: the spike in immigrates, the president not wanting to increase how much man power is used on processing them instead of removing them, or congress as they also have the power to require more judges to be hired for the immigrates to be heard then decided weather or not they get to stay here or not.
This is why trump got elected to put American citizens first..look at all the thumbs down
