Trump CFO Weisselberg In 2015: I leave ‘Legal Side’ Of Money Flow To Others | The Last Word | MSNBC

In documents obtained by the New York Daily News from a 2015 deposition, former Trump Org. CFO Allen Weisselberg said he didn’t concern himself with the “legal side” of the money flow. But that won’t absolve Weisselberg of liability in the Manhattan District Attorney’s wide-ranging investigation into the Trump organization. Aired on 04/27/2021

Trump CFO Weisselberg In 2015: I leave ‘Legal Side’ Of Money Flow To Others | The Last Word | MSNBC

    1. The funny thing is that it’s such excellent drama, and it’s so obvious that Donald ‘did it’ – his cult would literally LOVE this stuff! It’s something they could really sink their teeth into. But, yeah, they are completely unaware.

    2. TRUMP ,TRIED TO SAVE MANKIND BUT THE WORLD BANKERS WON ”
…..A U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) oversight board did not review a National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant to the nonprofit EcoHealth Alliance group that funded a project at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) involving gain-of-function research to modify bat-based coronaviruses.///////
….However, the NIH grant abstract reads, “Predictive models of host range (i.e. emergence potential) will be tested experimentally using reverse genetics, pseudovirus and receptor binding assays, and virus infection experiments across a range of cell cultures from different species and humanized mice.”

Dr. Latham and Dr. Wilson explained that with the text of the grant abstract as written, it “is hard to overemphasize that the central logic of this grant was to test the pandemic potential of SARS-related bat coronaviruses by making ones with pandemic potential, either through genetic engineering or passaging, or both.”//When Fauci was asked about the cancellation of the EcoHealth grant in a hearing before the House Energy & Commerce Committee in June 2020, his response was, “I don’t know the reason, but we were told to cancel it.” ”Following the hearing, Fauci clarified to Politico that the Trump administration had ordered the NIH to terminate the grant./////

    3. @spymaine89 The EcoHealth group included scientists from Wuhan on this project, and from other places all around the world, but it did not fund any specific research at Wuhan. The cancellation of the project by Trump was justified purely by false information invented by a single “reporter” from Newsmax. We will now not gain understanding of how viruses jump from animals to humans until a similar project gains funding. This “reporter” surely needs investigation – why has no-one ever corroborated his story and why did he invent it? Was this a conspiracy to facilitate a China bashing agenda? There could be many theories…

    4. They know exactly what is coming, I just wonder if trump still wants to escape to another country. It is getting close and I wonder which country will give refuge to trump?

  1. CFO’s can only fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities if they understand the legality of proposed business activities. Not every business acts conservatively within the confines of the law, like Enron failed to do, but the CFO knows how far outside of the lines they are drawing. At best, Weisselberg is describing the difference between a CFO and a mob accountant, and he should change his working job title accordingly 🙂

    1. There will have been a bottom draw pardon prepared for this guy, Stump can’t afford this guy to cave-in..

    2. @spymaine89 , What Trump tried to do was to further enrich himself and his elite buddies. Pumping up his ego was pretty high on the list also.

    3. @watchin’ it read insurance and other stats,. all cause death world wide is no higher in 2020-21 than past years. make your DOJ answer dead by flu cold pneumonia , bacterial lung infection.
      ///////////

    4. @spymaine89 , What exactly does that have to do with my comment regarding his pandering to the elites, which he definitely did (and still does)? Or did you just want to rant about something, in any convenient thread?

    1. @Doom Labs — he’ll be making those appeals from a prison cell because 70+% of Americans demand justice

    2. @Linda name — I’m truly confused on that issue, I’ve been boycotting coke products but Coke stepped up and denounced the law’s the Republican’s passed and then Trump called for them to be boycotted because of that so I feel like I should be supporting coke now ??

    3. @Mdlclassguy Mdlclassguy A case of damned if u do, damned if you don’t. LOL. I had to give up sugary drinks, but when pressed I’m a coke a cola girl. Take care!!

    1. I can’t recall’ is always a good one for these dudes but not good at legalities’ is a novel beauty

    2. Doesn’t matter. They waited until Trump served as President and is in his 70’s. Do the math.

  2. That weasel has been preparing for this for decades, don’t think he’s an easy target of an investigation.

    1. The weasel would have gotten away with everything if he wasn’t dumb enough to run and win the Presidency and while in Office alienate powerful people.

    2. yep. but prosecutors have been bringing down criminals, even mob bosses for
decades. it will be a fight for the crimes
      to come to light, finally.

  3. Lol. God I love Glenn Kerschner. He’s an absolute gem on YouTube. Every single day he’s posted another quick video to explain to us peons about some…legal mumbo-jumbo that just happened that everyone’s talking about.🙄 But then u wanna know!☺️ I’ve learned more from Glenn Kerschner in the past year than all thru school. Awesome guy. Love Glenn!

  4. The F in CFO stands for Financial. The O stands for Officer. That title has meaning and specific fiduciary requirements. Willful ignorance is not a defense.

  5. “fictitious offices” in Delaware. Not an unusual sight there. That state is the home of many shell companies and fly by night rackets.

  6. It’s ok. Donnie will save his favourite worker. Yeah right. Donnie’s just waiting for the first bus to throw the guy under.

  7. If only George Floyd had thought to say, regarding his $20, “I leave the legality of the finances to others”. Perhaps he would just have been politely interviewed instead, like Weisselberg.

  8. I usually don’t have any kind of emotional reaction to stories like this. But every time I hear about a new potentially catastrophic problem for trump I actually get a little happy. I’ll catch myself smiling. And I’ve never once before in my life remember enjoying another person’s problems.

  9. Showed this to our CFO, after picking her up off the floor and she finished laughing she said everything of a financial matter led to her door. Yes, she could get advice (stressing the advice) but every decision was hers and that applies to every CFO as she said THAT’s THE JOB OF A CFO.

  10. I’m sure SDNY prosecutors are more than happy to assist him in figuring out the legality of the operations he oversaw, he just has to ask them.
