Trump Deploys Race Attacks As Political Tactic | The Beat With Ari Melber | MSNBC

  1. And the right get super triggered when you call Trump a child. This is the classic middle grade ” I know your are but what am I ” saying.

    1. @Dale Cox true that. like in Texas, where 7,8,9,10 grades go together so they can feed ALL of the 11 & 12 graders to one central high school. Think Football.

  2. Why does no one ever mention bernie sanders on CNN or MSNBC when they reel off names of Dems when talking about race? He’s led the way for them consistently since 2016 and way way before? Just curious as a UK student of US modern politics. (I don’t mean to sound naive but surely it’s just he’s too much of a threat to corporates)

    1. MSNBC has banned all positive mention of Bernie Sanders because their corporate masters have decided to screw over the Democratic Socialist. Again.

    2. @David C Witkin oh…right. corporate overlords strike again. Conquer by omission. Their silence does become deafening once noticed though.

  3. We’ve already established that Trump is a pathological liar and a grotesquely immoral human being, but does that matter to those who idolize him? Rational minds need to come to grips with the fact that many Americans see Trump’s character flaws as his greatest political strength, and your outrage is their political payoff. Given his own well documented sexual animus towards women, I’m sure it would come as no surprise if Epstein was in Trump’s circle of friends at one time or another, but would it change anything? Clearly, after years of righteous indignation, the answer is still no.

In the modern age of subjective reason iReality and self serving morality, cognitive functioning is the primary measure of one’s character. Now people find success by avoiding emotional growth and surrounding themselves with homogenous self affirming stories and ideas. When emotional growth is stunted a child’s self centered view of the world solidifies. It is through social interaction and dealing with a diversity of others individual needs that children learn to navigate their own needs while managing primal drives of fear desire and a need to fit in. For children and emotionally stunted adults, mature human qualities such as empathy sharing and cooperation often take a back seat to darker more base instincts of aggressive antisocial behavior to get what they want. With respect to politics it’s important to note, we all believe this only happens on the “other side”, or only people from another race of socio-economic background. It is a global technologically driven phenomenon that exists in varying degrees of sophistication, and an array of implicit or passive aggressive forms. Our “self” awareness needs more “self-awareness”. Wealth and fame may afford the ability to get away with it for a time, but eventually we will all learn our behavior has consequences.

Many of Trump’s followers see him through the distorted lens of sur-realality TV, and are living vicariously through a made up omnipotent hero they believe is real. His supporters never question why a self proclaimed “billionaire” would be slumming it for 14 years on a TV show. Many people identify with Trump’s image of power and success because they feel marginalized by global economic forces they have no control over. For these people, the future has left them out in the cold and crushed their sense of pride and self identity. Many people respond to Trump’s deeply insecure displays of demagoguery, his cartoonish arrogance, and hyper narcissistic behavior because he represents an idealized projection of their own low self esteem and emotionally immature view of the world.  The only way to restore these people’s confidence in “progressive” ideals is to assure them they have a safe and valued place in the future. Our job is to demonstrate a substantively more powerful alternative to Trump’s regressively childish sticks and stones game.

Shaming is not how you’re going to penetrate Trump’s reality distortion force field. Donald and his hard core sycophants are deeply insecure people with externally propped up egos who live in a constant state of fear that the world will see their weaknesses and failures. Trump has spent his life projectile vomiting insecurity onto others by judging and insulting anyone or anything that threatens his stunted ego. He then assumes a position of power by gaslighting people’s outrage as a sign of their weakness, or failure. Your anger and shaming only serves to complete his projection feedback loop. Not giving him the reaction he wants will starve his ego and take that feeling of power away from him. The more you explain why he’s offensive the stronger Trump’s reality distortion force field becomes.

When he lashes out with vial insults, simply reflect them back word for word with one unified truth “Trump is a failure”. Then quickly follow up with stories of compassionate success. Repeat his lies and ridiculous exaggerations with the same mantra, “Trump is a failure” followed by the naked truth. More importantly, give him full credit and feed hie ego when he does something right. His sycophants have been programed to believe Trump and the country are one and the same, so make hats that say “America is Great, Trump is the failure!”

    1. @Sam B They think their party is still the party of intellectuals. They have failed to grasp their own doom.

Dempcrats….you are now the party or reactionary idiots who can’t read paragraphs. Your leaders have failed you. .
As a Republican, I’m lighting a cigar and laughing.

Or am I just a Russian bot????

      LMFAO life is good

    2. Remember folks… I’m Just a bot. Not a 31 year old father of one who grew up liberal and voted for Obama.

      We don’t exist 🤫

    3. We took a little bacon and we took a little beans
And we caught the bloody British in a town in New Orleans

We fired our guns and the British kep a-comin’
There wasn’t nigh as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they begin to runnin’
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

      We looked down a river
And we see’d the British come
And there must have been a hundred of’em
      Beatin’ on the drums

      They stepped so high
And they made their bugles ring
We stood by our cotton bales
      And didn’t say a thing

We fired our guns and the British kep a-comin’
There wasn’t nigh as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they begin to runnin’
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
Old Hickory said we could take ’em by surprise
If we didn’t fire our muskets
‘Till we looked ’em in the eyes

      We held our fire
‘Till we see’d their faces well
Then we opened up our squirrel guns
And really gave ’em – well we

Fired our guns and the British kep a-comin’
There wasn’t nigh as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they begin to runnin’
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

Yeah, they ran through the briars
And they ran through the brambles
And they ran through the bushes
      Where the rabbit couldn’t go
      They ran so fast
That the hounds couldn’t catch ’em
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

We fired our cannon ’til the barrel melted down
So we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round
We filled his head with cannon balls, and powdered his behind
And when we touched the powder off the gator lost his mind

We fired our guns and the British kep a-comin’
There wasn’t nigh as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they begin to runnin’
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

Yeah, they ran through the briars
And they ran through the brambles
And they ran through the bushes
      Where the rabbit couldn’t go
      They ran so fast
That the hounds couldn’t catch ’em
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

      Hut-two-three-four
      Sound off, three-four
      Hut-two-three-four
      Sound off, three-four
      Hut-two-three-four
      Hut-two-three-four.

    4. @Th3 Envy p  Bolo, If you had a point you lost it reciting Johnny Horton lyrics.

Aye an a bit o’ mackerel, fiddler, rack and fear, And I rutted down by the hade and the furrow.

Well, I slipped me in a flop and hit down and I shied, And I cried, cried, cried

The fear of fallin’ down aft’ taken, never back to rise

And then cried Mary and I tucked up Wi’ a Claymore out and about And I run down, down the mechyn sty,

And back on fiery hore that was fallin’ around the feet

“Never”, I cried. “Never shall ye get me alive Ya rotten hound of the Burnie Brae”.

Well, I snapped for a blade and a Claymore cut and thrust

And I fell down before him ’round his feet.

Aye, a roar he cried! Frae the bottom of his heart

That I would nay fall but dead, dead as a can by a feat deah…

      And the wind cried Mary.

  4. trump goes after Cummings who is chair of the OVERSIGHT committee. (Which is the tip of the spear for investigations.) He goes after AOC, whose questioning of Michael Cohen opened several new avenues of investigation into trump’s “business practices”. Seeing a pattern?

    1. Trump has also attacked Black journalists and accused them of being racist simply for reporting on his fraudulent business practices.

    2. Nothing Trump said was racist. Nothing Trump said to the four socialist America hating mucks either.

    3. @Mark Bodder
Racism is to assume that a person’s origin has any bearing on their personal attributes.

Asking Americans to “go back to where they came from” based on their decorative features is textbook racism.

You can either own ascribing to an outdated and debunked idea or fight it.
So what is it going to be?

  5. The Dems need to quit playin and impeach cheeto… Impeach and ask questions later… thats what the repubs would have done had this been reversed with President Obama

    1. Agree! You speak exactly to the point!! Nancy Pelosi is the most dangerous person in the Democratic Party today because she ignores Trump’s impeachable offenses and unfitness for office and flat out enables him to continue his lawlessness!! DNC Chair Perez and other House leadership are suppressing 2020 Progressive Democrats turnout by their spineless cowardice in not holding Trump accountable under the rule of law!!!

    2. The only thing that will send a clear, undeniable message is for Trump to be soundly defeated at the ballot box in 2020. Anything other than the voice of the people can be spun and presented by Trump as political chicanery that fatigues the average American. Dems are not controlling the conversation about Trump’s grievances against the rule of law. He needs to be voted out and then let the SDNY have him.

    3. @Mark Bodder You call 4 congresswomen mucks and then cry about insults. Dumb as a bag of hammers.

  6. Trump’s distractions occupy the media so he can run out the clock before anyone focuses on the consequences of his policies.

    1. Scrambled Eggs Trump is testing his option to increase racist policies, he continues to ratchet up his rhetoric and is more conspicuous each day. He is motivated to distract from his criminal acts and to act out his aggression to demonstrate his power.

    1. xiidarkiix saint No human being would want to live there? Sooooo the people that live there aren’t human? What are they then?

  7. I agree that Trump is not some real “Strategist” he is simply too ignorant and lazy to strategize, he is only looking to a familiar theme that worked to get him elected and afforded him unbridled power and support from the GOP. He is genuinely a racist and has no interest or understanding of government, what else would he focus on?

  8. THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST INFORMATIVE CONVERSATIONS WITH ACCURACY THAT I HAVE HEARD IN A LONGTIME. THANK YOU ❤👍👍👍👍👍

  9. The system is rigged by the Russians and Moscow Mitch will keep that way. Trump, I’m afraid will once again be elected in 2020. We the people need to revolt right now. Our Congress is not doing its job and we’ve lost our democracy. Corruption by the rich has gotten worst than ever and I don’t see it changing unless we the people revolt right now.

  10. Yes, fear controls the Left too. That’s why they rarely mention Bernie, who has been fighting for civil rights longer than most of the candidates have been alive.

    1. Do you mean democrats in general? I’d agree with that. Far left progressives love Bernie. It’s the moderates who are tepid because the word ‘socialism’ is a conversation stopper.
