If you look at Youtube videos from a few years ago during the Benghazi hearings, you’ll see Lindsay Graham making the argument against how Clinton handled the attack in Benghazi. I wish reporters would use what he said then to what he’s saying now in defense of Trump.
The only reason the Republicans spent seven million dollars and conducted 10 Benghazi investigations along with televised hearings was to prevent Hillary from becoming president, because just weeks after Trump was declared the winner, they ended the investigation and no longer mentioned Benghazi.

The state level courts should trial him regardless. Because the impeachment trial is not for the purpose of convicting him to prison. It is only to keep him from running for office and taking away his privileges as a former president.

Matthew Biondo Smith, according to Republicans an impeachment isn’t a trial, since criminal charges aren’t filed and there can be no punishment (other than loss of office, benefits and possible ban from holding office) double jeopardy shouldn’t apply. The Senate can’t issue a prison sentence. He may try to claim double jeopardy, but I doubt if it would apply. I wondered about that myself, but I believe that since doesn’t need a crime, and the Senate doesn’t sentence him, it should be a moot point.

He’s their kingmaker, his choice of candidates will matter to them, his endorsements will be sought after. That’s why they’re lining up to “kiss the ring” and endear themselves to him so that their constituents will see how deferential and loyal they are to him. Whether they privately agree with him or not doesn’t matter – they care about keeping their power, not their self respect, or their country’s fundamental values.

Jury verdicts in criminal trials require 12 jurors to unanimously agree. The odds are that at least one member of the jury will be a Trump supporter, so unanimity will be hard to achieve.

Impeachment is not a criminal case. There’s no double jeopardy involved.
Election Interference is a Felony. I thought convicted felons can’t run for Public Office.
His so called post master general could also face federal charges as well. He purposely delayed mail sort machines so that the mail in ballots are not counted or reach on time at the counting centre.
Convicted felons are eligible to be President, if they’re at least 35 years old and natural born U.S. citizens. It would be undemocratic to deny the people the right to elect the person they prefer.

Election reform. Horse and buggy days are over. This certification of the certification is a waste of time. New president should be up and running in a month. Move election day to Monday, make it a national holiday, scrap a different holiday to make the corporations happy. There should be an election task force to work on faster, accurate, secure elections and they can provide funding to the states for the ones that implement their infrastructure and protocols.
