He’s a real estate guy. Not a doctor or infectious disease expert. What part of this would you like him to handle? It seems to me he has put the best people we have on it, and they are handling it. Did you think because we live in America, that nobody was going to get it, or die from it? What would you like him to repeatedly say? He could get Obama up there to tell us that our health is never coming back. Would that be better? 50 states in this nation, each with an elected representative, all bearing executive authority and this is somehow Trump’s problem?

@Leonie Romanes, they absolutely do believe in science. That is why they handed it over to scientists. The things the administration could do, like travel restrictions, were begun a while ago, and they were hammered for that. Though now we know it was the right decision., no apologies from the critics, of course. They just shut up about it and look for the next thing to be wrong about.
Not that it has anything to do with anything really, but how does the “explosion” of AIDs have anything to do with any government official? Unless they participating in the behaviors knowns to transmit AIDs. Other than people who got it from a tainted blood transfusion, children who were born with it, or people whose cheating partners brought it home, everyone else could have avoided getting it once we knew how it was transmitted. For the last 20 years, anyone who got AIDs was just reckless.

Considering that over 50% of Trump’s voting base is age 45 and up, and the virus fatality rate tends to climb with age jumping from 7 to 31 fatalities since Friday and a rise from 60 cases last Tuesday to over 1k today. Many of us who are of that age group are going to seriously have to reconsider giving your 70yr old toddler any adult decision making capacity come Nov 11th. While I understand Trump himself is not responsible for the virus, his veto of limited health funding that could have purchased valuable tests and his attitude of a Pandemic being the flu and world wide hoax is disconcerting at the least and menacingly counterproductive to officials that do know what they are talking about. Furthermore his choices for unqualified officials for both Disease Control and Surgeon General disqualify this man as any kind of leader.
