Trump Impeachment Inquiry Banks Evidence As Witnesses Testify | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC

    1. @oltedders so according to my 2 minutes of reading, youre 75% right. Its a wet prairie and during the wet season, a slow moving river indeed flows through it. Youre right that its not a swamp, but i do think that parts of it are swampy during the dry season. That may not be the case, but im using the term as an adjective, rather than a noun in this case,so i believe it to be fair. Much similarly, a bayou is apparently a slow moving creek, which may also include swampy sections and they usually exist as part of a lake system, so i guess the term swamp is rather nebulous and the term swampy will often be found to be more accurate as a descriptor of sections of lakes, wet prairies, or possibly even a bayou. I do believe swampy areas are low lying wetlands that are forested, specifically. That’s the most specific information i cared to find regarding how one would define swamps. I hope this all sounds agreeable and i appreciate you teaching me something new and giving me a reason to further my use of vocabulary in ways I simply had never considered. I always thought swamp was best used as a noun, but most wetlands/creeks/ponds/etc… seem to have portions that are swampy, if they are forested. The things you learn from other people. Much obliged, my friend.

That’s a good question for me. I will have to find out what the definition of a bayou is. I had heard about the everglades many years ago. Because it is so wide it was unknown what the true nature of it was. I believe they found out when the Corp of Army Engineers tried to “drain the swamp” as it were. Thank you for your kind response. It is appreciated.

Thank you so much for doing the “legwork” on this research. It is such an interesting subject.

    1. @Josie Fox wouldnt be suprised, considering how the whole thing disgusted him.. and then Pres.Blowhard fires him

    2. He waited far too long before speaking up – wonder if he’d be so willing to reveal the truth if he were still employed by Trump.

    1. @Tony H Dude, where are your facts? Just watch ANY news besides fox and you will see exactly what is the truth. It is coming out and you cannot deny it any longer, as much as you magas try. Now please, GO AWAY!

    2. @Tony H ,
You are way off base. You are overlooking that the call where Trump says “..do us a favor though” makes it clear what he means by that and yes, it’s quid pro quo. More importantly there’s a tonne of evidence leading up to the call that people knew it was ILLEGAL. There’s also the removal of the Ambassador to the Ukraine solely to get her out of the way because she won’t abide the corruption… as to the VOTE being required that’s just not true; the Republicans want to create a dog and pony show out of this like they’ve done before which is why they want a vote to force some of this to be more public. Also, the whistleblower and other people need to testify initially behind closed doors so that the wrongdoers don’t know exactly what was said so that they can avoid giving information; it’s common practice… how is the Whistleblower a partisan when you don’t know who he is? Sigh….

On top of all this people are currently DYING because Trump ordered troops pulled out of Syria in a tweet without informing or consulting ANYBODY including the military. He gave a win to Russia, Turkey and Iran. He showed the USA to be untrustworthy by abandoning the Kurds. He allowed ISIS and others to spread. If you can defend his actions then you truly have no idea what’s going on.

    1. @Jimmy Phillips — So, because Josie Fox (who is from The U.K.) says she’s surprised at “how long Trump [has] lasted” (and who, with a half a brain, isn’t?), this means that she is trying to influence the election? Really?? And who are the replacements that she should welcome?

    1. @Terry Jackson Not dumb, corrupt, evil, parasites. I acknowledge some are OK but hey will need some heavy duty inoculation.

  1. It is comporting to know that there are plenty of career federal officials that posses a high level of integrity and courage.

    1. Emir David — I can appreciate your comment, but the word, “plenty”, sounds like we have ENOUGH honest federal officials. The word, “some”, is probably more applicable.

    1. Gary Smith no they don’t have to vote to start an inquiry. The republicans are saying that until the house votes on this inquiry they will not comply! Nancy is saying the constitution says the house can conduct impeachment proceedings as they see fit.

    2. @Holski77 Heck no, don’t send them to a hotel. If my tax payer dime has to pay for something I’d prefer it goes to putting behinds in jail. I agree completly with sentence two although I’m not clear what would prevent someone in the Pentagon from going to jail for ignoring subpoenas.

  2. Yeah, we’ll get the three amigos. Jail is coming. But we all want Ghouliani and tRump – the Abbott and Costello of crime.

    1. @Laurie Bolles they’re both Costello. Abbott was the smarter one and I just can’t bring myself to calling either one of those guys smart

  3. I bet Micheal Cohen is VERY happy he’s in jail right now and wasn’t being flexed around with Rudy for this DOOZY !

    1. mook5tar yes, he would have sent.COHEN. to Ukraine,,,, he better off where he at.. NOW let,s see how much trouble ,TRUMP. get. AG..BARR IN😂😂

    2. Doing the right thing has it’s advantages. Michael will live a good life while the rest of them are rotting in prison.

    3. There’s no question that Cohen, however miserable his situation might be, has been enjoying some real satisfaction lately.

  4. Christ Yosemite Sam calling somebody else a hand grenade – the lord does indeed work in mysterious ways !

  5. If he applies coercion to a country to get what he wants, imagine what he is doing to government officials who are visibly terrified to say anything negative about him. Thanks to the brave ones who are showing ethics and an INDEPENDENT MIND that put country before corruption. 👏

  6. I’m glad the VP has put himself in a position to resist. He can can go the way of the orange moron.

    1. Absolutely. I would loooooove to see anybody thats disregarded the duties of the office because they have an allegiance to their party first, go down in this but, if those two can start the dominos tumblin, I’ll take it.

    2. This shows how utterly selfish Trump is. Any other president would keep his vp far away from the scandal to save the presidency for their party. But Trump only care about himself so he throws his vp under the bus in an effort to save himself

  7. Looks like Giuliani’s lawyer has more respect for his law licence than to join his ex-client in the mire.

    1. @Saltponds239 Isn’t there an active investigation of Giuliani by the Southern District of New York and a sitting grand jury as well?

    2. @Saltponds239 try watching something other than Fux Entertainment. Yes it’s all over that the agency he used to run is now investigating Rudy.

How can you be so ignorant and still think you should comment on the news?

    1. It’s worse than that. For years tRump was rejected by the elites but has always craved their respect (or whatever passes for that in his mind). Now he’s president, he is turning the screws to get the adoration he thinks he deserves. You are right in that we are disposable trash, but it’s anyone who does not worship him, rich or not.
