@wickednwyld Not so my friend. If Trump is impeached and removed Pence would have plenty of time to nominate a new VP even if there was an investigation into him going on. If Pence goes first then Trump can still nominate a new VP before a Senate Trial. I had a look at the rule book and a confirmation hearing for a new Vice President or President appears to take precedence even over an ongoing Senate trial. Pelosi would only become Acting President IF both Pence and Trump were to be removed simultaneously and there simply isn’t a mechanism short of death to do it.
