Current sitting Congressmens’ and former POTUS insouciance is a merest reminder of how unaccountably and unimportance can become dangerous and cause an incivility perpetuity. We’re taught to revere the law and be obedient; when the creator’s of such legislation don’t follow their own work of faith, how can the civic respect their chief law?
They have to protect the patriarchy (tribalist mentality) so they’ll excuse the crimes or the cruel, immoral and unethical behaviors and actions.
For fear of loosing their privilege, influence power and entitlement plus hate towards others.

Just a thought- it is interesting how we taught the soldiers sacrifice for our democracy, but politicians aren’t even willing to put their jobs on the line for it. It is also on us, Congress has dismal approval, <20%, ratings AND YET incumbents are re-elected at astounding rates, >80%.
