The particularly scientists we are talking about do world leading work – and without them, many many thousands of people would die each year, and the health outcomes of an entire country would be a lot worse. They are a leading source of information on infectious diseases around the world.
What are you advocating? We just close our eyes and hope viruses go away? We just forget about learning how bacteria infects food? We just stop investigating outbreaks of diseases around the country?
The CDC is supposed to be, and has been a-political. It is only under Trump that we’ve suddenly seen politically appointed (i.e. people appointed because of their fealty to Trump rather than their expertise).

Several states—including Pennsylvania, the site of one of the country’s largest outbreaks, as well as Texas, Georgia, and Vermont—are blending the data in the same way. Virginia likewise mixed viral and antibody test results until last week, but it reversed course and the governor apologized for the practice after it was covered by the Richmond Times-Dispatch and The Atlantic. Maine similarly separated its data on Wednesday; Vermont authorities claimed they didn’t even know they were doing this
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is conflating the results of two different types of coronavirus tests, distorting several important metrics and providing the country with an inaccurate picture of the state of the pandemic. We’ve learned that the CDC is making, at best, a debilitating mistake: combining test results that diagnose current coronavirus infections with test results that measure whether someone has ever had the virus. The upshot is that the government’s disease-fighting agency is overstating the country’s ability to test people who are sick with COVID-19. The agency confirmed to The Atlantic on Wednesday that it is mixing the results of viral and antibody tests, even though the two tests reveal different information and are used for different reasons.
*This is not merely a technical error. States have set quantitative guidelines for reopening their economies based on these flawed data points.*

99% of Covid cases might be a conservative estimate, it might be closer to 99.5% are harmless. Only 6% of the total reported deaths were due solely to Covid alone. Among the other 94% of reported deaths, there were an average of 2.6 additional conditions or causes of death. If someone got into a car accident and died and they had Covid-19 at the time of death, it would have still counted as a Covid death (although their face being impaled would have been listed as the primary cause). Due to this issue of comorbidity, it becomes more difficult to extract the extent of harm of this virus. Plus, there were likely hundreds of thousands if not millions of people that possibly contracted it and never tested for it, thus contributing to this figure.

There is a consistent theme across the democrat party that belief in God has no room in their agenda. During the DNC, while reciting the pledge of allegiance, the words “under God” were left out in 2 different instances. Furthermore, in democrat-run states and jurisdictions the fact that liquor stores and casinos have been allowed to be open, but churches must remain closed is another instance. That is, when Trump came into office the United States was prepared for a pandemic thanks to the actions of the Democrats back in 2014. So that is the Democratic timeline for you and it started well before January 2020.
