Trump Says China Seeking Trade Deal Is A 'Very Positive Step' | MSNBC

  1. I’d give anything for one of these reporters, to JUST ONCE, respond with “You have no idea what you’re talking about do you”?”

    1. @Jeff Cooper You talk of making compromises for the better good, when you won’t admit the facts about Donald Trump. You’re driven by your ideology.

    2. @Tom For President. The only thing he has done is cut taxes for the rich/given welfare to the rich. That’s it. 45* has :

Failed to secure an immigration deal with Mexico.
Pulled out of a denuclearization deal with Iran.
Failed to get a deal with China on trade.
      Abandoned the Trans-Pacific Partnership treaty.
Ditched the Paris Accords on Climate Change.
      Backed a bungled Brexit.

In addition, 45* has been an epic washout with Congress, failing to secure…

A bill to build and repair infrastructure.
An agreement on reducing drug prices.
Funding for his vanity border wall.
      Any progress on improving healthcare.

The one key issue that 45* has been clinging to for two years is his argument that the economy is booming. Set aside for the moment the fact that that isn’t true: many critical indicators such as wage growth and job creation are lagging (and trailing Obama’s record).

But 45* has been using the stock market as his evidence of a strong economy. That, of course, demonstrates his ignorance of economics. The stock market only reflects the value of equities that are mainly traded by giant financial institutions. It is not a gauge of the economy’s health.

Also, we have the 2nd longest Bull market in history…that Obama helped create in 2009, and the stock market performed better in Obama’s last year than in 45*’s reign as it has steadily declined, so even if the stock market performance was a good indicator of the health of the economy, it has been negatively effected by 45*, due to his tariff war, tax cut/welfare for the rich, and instability.

    3. @Progressive Humanist Don’t forget that now Trump is no longer perceived as the leader of the free world, by world leaders at the G-7. World leaders have been trying just to keep him placated enough so that they can get some real work done and he doesn’t blow it all up, like you would an obnoxious child.

    1. @Jeffrey Meade No, I think they are pointing out that every other time Trump has came out and said something like this, the other country involved makes public statements that Trump is making it up or lying. It happens often enough that most Americans are waiting for the expected response from China doing the same.

Sadly, Trump can’t tell the truth to save his soul.

    1. That’s because you morons make everything about him.  Never mind the 500 billion trade deficit we have with China!  You people are so blinded by hate that you cannot stop to think and be rational.  You are all insane.  Just like the proposal to buy Greenland.  You immediately jump up and laugh.  Not thinking about what a strategic move that would be with respect to Russian influence in the Arctic.  ‘Oh no!  We’ve got make fun of Trump.’  The left has gone completely nuts.

    2. @Jeffrey Meade how do you expect to change the mind of someone who aggressivly doesn’t believe a thing trump has to say by saying a bunch of stuff trump said? Maybe try finding a souce that isn’t trump that supports what trump is saying?

    1. Michael, i’m not so sure you know how this all works buddy. But keep on watching these fake news sites, i’m sure you’ll find out eventually.

  2. After Trump finished with that little diatribe of lies, one of the reporters should have brought up the fact that under his criminal incompetence, the national debt surpassed $22 trillion for the first time last year, a milestone that experts warned is further proof the country is on an unsustainable financial path that could jeopardize the economic security of every American. His face would have contorted into something resembling a
jack-o-lantern left outside for days after Halloween.

    1. @the last emperor I wont have to, Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said he was not aware of any calls between the two sides. How about you come back like a man and say trump lied about the calls to China, and that I was right ?

  3. “Lying is second nature to him. More than anyone else I have ever met, Trump has the ability to convince himself that whatever he is saying at any given moment is true, or sort of true, or at least ought to be true.”

–Tony Schwartz, the ghost writer for Trump’s book “The Art of the Deal”:

    1. @PosterChild Apocolypse But he IS the chosen one. The antichrist is still technically a chosen one.

  4. The incredible sulking shrinking man at the G7: “Trade wars are good, and easy to win” Yes Donnie, America remembers.

  5. Corporate 🇺🇸 knew China’s deal and took or jobs over there anyway and expect we the people to bail them out from higher taxs NO WAY dump trump

  6. Has anyone confirmed that China “called” and wants to make a deal or is this just another lie on another day of this presidency? We’re supposed to take Donald’s word that he’s winning?
Let’s be clear about one thing; Trump has an election in another year and Xi is leader for life. All China has to do to win and cripple our country is wait him out. He created this situation.

  7. I can’t stand that he continues to think that everything positive happening in this world is because of him! What a wack job!

    1. These conversations are pointless, nobody on the left wants to admit plain facts like Donald is the president.

    1. In truth, he is. Or, rather, he was never alive. Just a totally broken person since childhood. Much of it his parent’s fault, but he never tried to change. It’s really very sad.
