Yamiche Alcindor tells Joy Reid about how she pressed Trump on why he dismantled an Obama-era White House pandemic office and Trump said he knew nothing about it: "If he isn't telling the truth…then you have a president who is just saying, 'Well I'm completely aloof and don't want any responsibility for this pandemic.'" 1. I was wondering when someone in the media had the balls to challenge Trump. Turns out it was a woman named Yamiche Alcindor.

Trump doesn’t take responsibility for anything; he only takes credit for the accomplishments of others.

    • @The Toasted Hippies I didn’t mean to sound like I was attacking you personally. I did acknowledge seeing your admission of being too flippant. On “looking down” I’m not sure if we are talking about the same thing. I try to be even in my estimation of others – on first “encounter” but then it’s fair (to me) to – yes – ‘judge’ them… & maybe even give them a 2nd & 3rd chance. But after that, the call not to be “judgemental” is mistaken IMHO. Yes, you’re right to avoid hate, but there’s a difference in letting the offending party “off the hook” in some form of “hate the sin but not the sinner.” I’m not an atheist but reflexively (from a strict RC “convent” school background) buck religion; that said, you’re right as to the embrace of the spiritual to get through the dark… I light my candles… & not just at night.
If it’s any comfort, your particular health problem is the most “benign” of all in that category; many go for years & have something else “finally” be the “biggie” & as to your spouse’s COPD, it covers such a wide area. Yes, “chronic” means ongoing, but if it’s not “progressive” it can be “managed” & “livable” – but of course, in the current viral environment, it’s a culprit which you don’t need working against you. It’s a difficult time for all of us & more than usual there’s “venting” in even more nasty form online. I sincerely hope I didn’t “bum you out” personally. I’ve been called many things & ‘hippie’ was one of them, way back; I did see Jerry Garcia play… but only once.

@JP51ism I think you are a smart man and I don’t mean that ironically. I think all governments are protection rackets. Our political leaders don’t care for us except in the sense a farmer cares for his livestock. I think that Trump is a lout and, while being intellectually inferior to most Presidents, he is not morally nor ethically inferior. Trump is a pretender. I don’t know who is holding Trump’s leash but whoever it is they are formidable. Maybe Putin? Could be that PUtin will go down in history as the most effective military commander since Genghis Khan. I digress. Prostate cancer is among the slowest and least agressive. It’s still no fun. I have a friend dying of metastatic lung cancer and he only has a few months. Doctors tell me I should last 5 to ten years but they can’t promise anything. Trump has effectively ruined the diplomatic corps as well as any effective leadership out of his cabinet. The USA is dead. Trump is the last nail in the coffin.

Why would he? He’s an overgrown, spoiled brat, with the mental and emotional capacity of a 9 year old, who’s never taken responsibility for *anything* his entire pampered life.

    • @BearlyMHere This whole debacle is proof that democracy’s a gigantic failure, and folks like you are the reason why.
How could anyone ever think that a vote from someone like you should count the same as someone who isn’t a complete moron?

    • The Algerian 👀🙄said “The Algerian”?!? I’m hearing about sad human rights violations coming out of Africa…seems odd that one from that world thinks to question the leadership of the 🇺🇸 USA. 🤔

    • moomoofish 1 If I listened to the trash that some do, insisting the worse interpretation of everything…I’d dislike me too. Good thing I know differently. 💫🕯 you…don’t? 🤔

Do better than poison the minds of your grandchildren and great grandchildren? Our time on earth is very short for so much HATE.

What’s wrong with the other gutless reporters who didn’t press this issue to expose this monstrous bluffing Nasty fraud?

It’s stomach churning to watch the lies, the nodding, the cowardice, coming out of the United States today. The people of Hong Kong not only live on average 6 years longer than Americans, they also make the US look like a nation of spineless, ignorant halfwits.

    • queenyt4ever | March 15, 2020 at 8:07 AM | Reply

      @Jim Battersbee They are.

    • What more was there to see? He said he isn’t responsible for all of his buffoonery and lied and said he didn’t know anything about the CDC Pandemic Unit being shut down. He would only go on to blame Obama and Europe.

  6. Cutting off journalists’ mikes in order to prevent unwanted questions. The best government money can buy.

  7. Trump gutted the Center for Disease Control. Now says:“I don’t know anything about it”

  8. A leader, a good one, will take responsibility. Of course, we are not talking about Trump here.

  9. Chris P. Bacon | March 14, 2020 at 2:48 AM | Reply

I love how Trump in response to the question, looks around for someone to throw under the bus. Classic Trump.

  10. Trump moving at the speed of stupid.

  11. As long as tRump is talking about how “Incredible,Great,Perfect, and Tremendous a job he has done, everything is fineWonderful. When he’s asked about bad moves that he’s made ,it’s a “nasty question”and he takes no responsibility. The reality is he constantly makes Nasty Dumb A$$ decisions that clearly show his stupidity and incompetence!!!!!

    • Clarence Bayliss | March 27, 2020 at 11:55 AM | Reply

You conservative Ignorant trumpistanies who believe that he is the best are stupid. This pandemic could have been stopped by not dismantling the former president’s office of pandemic team and letting them in on the secret meeting that the trump administration had in January we would have had a better chance of keeping Americans from thousands of deaths. Trump is not for the people he is for himself. When he dismisses the professionals advise then he shows how disingenuous he is about this great nation he has not made this country great. He has made this country poor and ignorant in the eyes of the whole world. So when you can’t even protect your own country from a pandemic you are not fit to rule anything but your own criminal al family. If this what you want from a president then his supporters and his entire family should move to Russa and be with his bestie Putin and have him rule your whole cult.

    • @Clarence Bayliss – You know it doesn’t matter how well our President performs during this time of crisis because you Corruption-embracing and Mentally-deluded Liberal DOLTS will hate him regardless. President Trump’s Task Force in coordination with the CDC, FEMA and other agencies are Fully Qualified and Ready to combat this Chinese Virus Outbreak.

Anyone with a Brain can figure out that due to the massive severity of this crisis, no President can just snap fingers and put into place everything needed to stop this outbreak. You are deluding yourself if you think to the contrary. Every Brainwashed Liberal DOLT needs to back off with their Pathetic Hysteria and realize that what can be done is being implemented by the President’s Task Force.

End your Hysteria and Idiocy Liberal DOLTS. You are not getting anywhere with it.

You don’t have to “accept” responsibility Mr. “President”, but because of your lies and incompetence you’re still gonna get the blame.

  15. Trump look behind him for someone to blame ,.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Cutting microphones when asked an undesirable question is WRONG! Worst administration in my 65 years!

  20. Truman: “The buck stops here.”
    Trump: “The buck disappears here.”

This low-IQ adult child is incapable of taking responsibility for anything, which is the most important duty of an executive of any kind. What a LOSER he is!
