If it was not reasonable, if there were things that they were trying to sneak in or tie to the bill, then they were within their right to backtrack. It has been known to happen. The Democrats backtracked for a number of reasons such as the bill did not have the $1,200 stimulus check for individuals and excluded money for cities and states. But it did have conservative inclusions such as tax credits to help students attend private schools and liability protections for businesses, items that have nothing to do with the pandemic. So, if you’re going to make nebulous statements, have some facts to back them up.
Fred D Sims I didn’t feel the need to dive into specifics because I was trying to make a point. If politicians really cared, the bill would’ve been passed. Don’t matter what side they’re on Democrat or republican. They say they care about the American people yet they wanna add things into the bill that have nothing to do with the virus. Pelosi said that it is not going to happen basically without a significant bailout for State Governments…Republicans 1.6 Trillion Democrats 2 Trillion, you have to have enough Bipartisan votes to pass the legislation. The President will not veto a Stimulus Bill!
