His logic failed to coherently present the facts that the US is showing highest number of cases because of the many tests that are being successfully conducted thus far without which the current figures would also remain dangerously unknown as is the case in countries which have not been able to perform rigorous tests e.g. India where the actual number of positive figures are lurking beneath inadequate testing. However, drumf some crazy how managed to present a completely distorted incoherent logic that sounds like he’s ibfact blaming rise in covid positive numbers on the tests themselves!! what a folly and a tragedy. I think what he means (and I’m not trying to defend him here, believe me!) is that by doing so many tests we are only bringing to light cases that actually exist.
He knows they exist. But he is irked by the fact that more tests will only uncover more cases, and that number will just keep on rising – embarrassing him further in the process.
If he thought he could get away with not doing any more tests – which would obviously reduce the number of “visible” new cases as a result – I’m sure he would try it!

At this rate it will be a loonnnnnggg time before Americans are permitted to travel to Australia. We are just starting to cautiously lift our (non-extreme) lockdown and to hold talks on allowing travel between Australia and New Zealand, Taiwan and Vietnam – countries that, like Australia, have crushed the virus. But the USA? Or Europe? Nope, waaay to dangerous.
