Trump’s comments ‘a full retreat,’ CNN’s analysts say

CNN's Daniel Dale, John King and Jim Acosta say that President Donald Trump retreated from his dubious claim of "absolute authority" to reopen the country, acknowledging that individual governors would make the call to lift their own stay-at-home orders as their states emerge from the coronavirus pandemic.

  1. Federal government head of executive branch: “I have total authority”
GOP: “Yes your highness! oink! oink! oink!”

    1. @DeepShadedGlassesGuy Last laugh will be on you. Your not smart enough to see what he did. He’s always four or five steps ahead of the left. Distract and Destroy the left. Yes, you have been PUNK’D.

    2. WiseGuys 2.0 gonna rub one out thinking about him greased up with KFC, bruh?

My goodness what an embarrassing little kneeler.

    3. @Eli Dicken Sick bastard you are , bruh. Keep on kneeling though and Trump will drive it home for you since that’s how you take it , bruh.

  2. WTF is a “powerful reopening plan”??? Does he even understand the definition of the word ‘powerful’? Can he sound like more of an idiot?

    1. @Alexander Cartier he doesn’t know what he is talking about. If he is able to criticize Obma speeches or language

    2. Lol. Powerful is just a step down from Utra-Powerful….which is only a step down from Utra-Colossal Powerful. 😁👍

    3. @Philip Berggren during the 2016 campaign, he claimed that he knows the best words in the world. That guy is sad clown. He’s pathetic, idiot, ignorant, no education, no culture at all. He’s a vulgar person.

    1. @ D W I’m a Democrat and I don’t want to take away guns, Republicans should not take away the FIRST Amendment, we NEED a Free Press. BTW, the THIRD Amendment shows that the 2nd Amendment was talking about a Citizen not a Permanent Army.

After World Wars One and Two, entire divisions were decommissioned and industry stopped making weapons but since the “Cold War”, the USA has had a very large, permanent military. It is INSANELY Profitable because:
      1. Companies sell overpriced items without advertising and with guaranteed years or counts, selling weapons to taxpayers is lucrative.
      2. It creates an imbalance in the economy, government spending is directed towards spending that benefits the few, not the many. That policy creates inflation.
      3. The US has more than 200 military bases in more than 127 countries. The bases most often enforce US Control of Resources – Colonialism. That means that resources are cheap but is that gosod news? No. Nothing is built to last, nothing. There used to be a Financial definition called “Hard Goods”. It was to describe products like Washers and Dryers. “Hard Goods” because they lasted, and “Financial definition” because sales of them meant a growing economy.

Bingo, that’s the trouble with capitalism – it requires growth. Nothing is built to last so that the even the careful consumer has to keep purchasing.

When the United States imposed and (using the military) enforced a worldwide trade embargo against Russia, Russians built things to last. They had to..

Here in the USA, under the New Deal, taxation meant that people making less paid less and people making more money paid more in taxes. That has been turmed upside down.

Now a 2 income family doesn’t have the same that a single income family had during the New Deal.

(: The states that border NY are:
NJ, PA, VT, MA & CT … ☺
RI is only across by Long Island Sound, but RI is not an Island (even though the word “Island” is in the name)!!!!! ☺
It is an inland state!!!!! … ☺

    3. Ya. It’s rolling around in his profoundly empty head with his “metrics.” Hope the two lonely thoughts don’t crash into each other, lest he think he can out-compose the forefathers. 😒

    1. At least King George had the brains to know when he was wrong, and when he was beaten. This guy in his mind will always think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Remember when asked to rate how his administration’s response was to this Corona Virus epidemic, he gave them a 10!.

    2. @Gregg Hernandez No, sorry, Mad George was as mad as a hatter! We Welsh know that for sure. Having said that, Ronald Reagan was a better President, and he was suffering from Alzheimers.

    3. @TheBeaumarisEcho I agree, King George was as mad as a hatter. What I meant is that (from an American’s point of view) is that he knew when the Colonies had whipped him, and didn’t keep the Revolutionary War dragging on and on. He cut his losses and left us alone. Trump doesn’t learn from his mistakes. No one can tell him he is wrong, or he is making the wrong decision. He is like a petulant child. He proves this time and time again.
With this Corona Virus epidemic he could easily say that he was wrong in the 1st months of this pandemic, but work really hard to correct his mistakes. He doesn’t do that. He prefers to spend his time rewriting history, in the hopes of getting reelected.

    4. King Donnie I is the new George III. Just imagine…the Republican party is now the opposite of what ‘republican’ actually means. You just couldn’t make it up!!

    5. @Gregg Hernandez
Beaten,………..well there was something called an ocean in between the 2 countries. lol

  3. Give him a burger king hat and something shiny in a kids meal and tell him he’s now the king, he’ll believe it, trust me. And everyone else can get on with sorting out the mess.

  4. Jan 20: “I know more abbout viruses than anyone.”

Jan 22: “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China. It’s going to be just fine.”

Feb 2: “We pretty much shut it down coming in from China.”

Feb 24: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA… Stock Market starting to look very good to me!”

Feb 25: “CDC and my Administration are doing a GREAT job of handling Coronavirus.”

Feb 25: “I think that’s a problem that’s going to go away… They have studied it. They know very much. In fact, we’re very close to a vaccine.”

Feb 26: “The 15 (cases in the US) within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.”

Feb 27: “One day it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.”

Feb 28: “We’re ordering a lot of supplies. We’re ordering a lot of, uh, elements that frankly we wouldn’t be ordering unless it was something like this. But we’re ordering a lot of different elements of medical.”

Mar 5: “The United States… has, as of now, only 129 cases… and 11 deaths. We are working very hard to keep these numbers as low as possible!”

Mar 6: “I like this stuff. I really get it. People are surprised that I understand it … Every one of these doctors said, ‘How do you know so much about this?’ Maybe I have a natural ability. Maybe I should have done that instead of running for president.”

Mar 6: “I don’t need to have the numbers double because of one ship that wasn’t our fault.”…

    1. @Dorian Lollobrigida
If Pence can’t step out & say that Trump is bat sh!t crazy & send him home with the 25th! Then he can’t get the base behind him! Your comment is a silent joke we Democrats can appreciate! Thank You!😊

  5. He’s using the word “powerful” a lot these days? Who’s is he trying to convince? 😂

    1. minitanksandchairs He’s learned a knew word. Now he knows 2 words: powerful and tremendous. His aides are doing a great job with his vocabulary lessons. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    2. @carmen patricia conde fierro well iam kind of new will all this sorry but the singer is Jen Houston from there scroll down and see who’s playing the whole song. I’ll go back and check

  6. “You knew I was a snake, b4 u took me in”…Donald J Trump

“Donald Trump, ur not draining the swamp, u r the swamp”…Neil Cavuto / FIX News

    1. USA having the most deaths says NOTHING. Look at the percentage of the population dead due to the virus, where the US is 11th.

    2. Ethan
DO NOTHING DONTHECON will be held accountable. Incompetent tRump = ⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️

    3. @EthanSeveral countries larger than the US have far less deaths, including China itself, which has a population over 3 times larger and has a fifth of the amount of deaths.

    4. @MBM1117727 This debate has nothing to do with population of the country, and everything to do with the leaders. So many people think that Trump is the worst leader ever for this issue and that Biden would be so much better… Do you seriously think that China is correctly reporting cases and deaths? They could care more, that’s for sure. Remember Chernobyl?

  7. States should withhold the federal tax dollars that they have control over, and use that money more effectively than trump’s federal government

  8. Trump: Putin, I may need you help for this years election.

Putin: My hands are a bit tied with the Virus, can you ask another country?

  9. “The president doesn’t have total authority. The Constitution is there, the 10th Amendment is there, number of cases over the years, it’s very clear. States have power by the 10th Amendment, and the president is just wrong on that point,” Gov. Cuomo said.
Former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, knocked Trump’s claim that he was essentially “King of America.”
