KMT Tapper had far superior players. Tapper never to World cup. Tapper can’t teach anybody to coach. Foolishness, stats don’t tell the entire story.

Know what with we Jamaicans always quick to criticize and finds faults in others, if you think you can do a better job go an do 🤦‍♀️

    • Gregory Nelson | November 4, 2020 at 9:18 PM | Reply

@Julan Christie I did not use any words that criticized Tapper. I only stated a fact that he hasn’t lead the team to a World Cup etc. I said nothing that shud’ve lead u to believe that I think that I am better nor that I am interested in the job. All Jamaicans are not the same therefore not all Jamaicans are quick to critise and find fault as you do. Your statement “we Jamaicans” includes you so we have a clear insight of the type of person you are.

  6. The last USA vs jam gold cup match up just shows tapper weakness in lack of creative tactics. I always say he just clueless at times but after that USA defeat I write him off. I find especially foreign base players don’t respect tapper anyways this might be due to their experiences dealing with a professional setting at their clubs.

    • We all know who transformed Jamaican football. We all know who teach Jamaicans how to be professional footballers, teach coaches how to coach, Jff presidents how to administer but are afraid to say his name. Thus all of a sudden Tapper is the best thing that ever blow a whistle. Even Tapper is one of greatest beneficiary. .

  7. Not arguably, he is our best coach. Least paid. Least respected. Least recognized. Only, you, Oral Tracy – let me say Mr Oral Tracy – that show any regards for Tapper.
It was under Whitmore’s tutelage that we defeated the US “giants” on their own turf. Historic!

You know US was/ is going through a major transition at that time. Even Trini that couldn’t qualify for WC beat them. That wasn’t the condition under which other coaches faced the US.

    • @Gregory Nelson No we beat a US when our team was going through a transition and was trying to find form.

At the time we beat US they were no giants. Panama drew with them 1-1, Costa Rica beat them 4 love and the 2 love in the return leg, Trinidad that was the last-placed team in the group beat them 2-1. Every team was getting their very best results from the US at that time. The US wasn’t even good enough to qualify for the world cup from CONCACAF, one of the least competitive regions in the world. We played them during the failed Klinsmann experiment. What do you mean by tutelage? What player on that team did he teach to do what? This is Jamaica some people actually know something about football. He has good results based on the fact that previous coaches have laid the foundation for him to do so. Now it’s his time to leave things that the next coaches can learn from when he leaves. what will they learn from him?

    • @Gregory Nelson point taken. But there are still no giants. They weren’t before and we never beat them.
