I really hope that we the Texas voters will mobilize and vote out Cruz and Cornyn and McCaul and Abbott and Paxton and Patrick et cetera. Too many longtime incumbent Republicans are “winning” because their districts are drawn like snakes. While living in Austin for nearly two decades, I’d move merely a few miles down the road and my Congressional Representative would change to another old, white, wealthy, Republican incumbent lawyer who is insulated from the realities on the ground and who never holds town halls in lower-class neighborhoods. I’m still angry and I hope that my fellow Texans are feeling it enough now to VOTE these MF’ers out for good.

I can’t help but see the similarity, too, between the Texas Republicans and the Taliban. Both want to force their religious beliefs on to others; both have a disregard for life, unless it’s that of an unborn child; both don’t want to hear women speak. I’m sure there are other similarities, but those are the ones that come to mind at the moment.

All the big cities vote for democrats but the smaller rural areas go Republican. Unfortunately they give these smaller areas more power than larger more populated areas. Our voting system needs reforming.
