It certainly is many times more corrupt and incompetent than 4 years ago and 6 months from now it will hopefully be many times less so, but at its worse the U.S. isn’t even in the top 100 most corrupt and incompetent countries. How ironic that the supposed most powerful nation in the world is brought to its knees by the lowest form of biological life.

Well put. I’ve been wondering why people in general and the media in particular have been continuously surprised, often at the cost of missing the point entirely, for three and a half years. Trump may lie about facts, but he rarely lies about his intentions. And they’ve been all there, all the time.
