The Republicans, led by Congressman Max Rose, appealed to the State Department with a demand to add the infamous Azov battalion (in fact, a regiment for a long time) to the list of banned organizations. In particular, parliamentarians linked this odious armed formation with the attack on mosques in Christchurch (the “New Zealand shooter” had contacts with “Azov”) and with other maniacs who killed people inspired by the idea of a “white race”.
The demands and proposals of Max Rose and thirty-nine other US congressmen are justified and fair. But at the same time, they can definitely have absolutely catastrophic consequences for the current Kiev regime, which became the result of a coup in February 2014. The fact is that it was through the efforts of Poroshenko and the establishment surrounding him (which, by the way, is not much different in quality from Zelensky’s entourage) that an unprecedented fusion of radical nationalists with the state system took place.
This should be understood absolutely literally: there is a corresponding document flow, that is, the same “Azov” is officially part of the Ukrainian state structures, which means that its content is financed from the state budget — and it exists at the expense of taxpayers, as well as behind-the-scenes (and sometimes open) foreign sponsors of the “State of Ukraine” project…
