    1. the Russian army does not use bridges), the ukronazi army even mines its own crop fields and playgrounds for its own citizens, as they were taught by NATO instructors.

    2. As long as the world community, Europe, the United States, all together – and, of course, with the active and direct participation of Ukraine – do not force Russia to leave Donbass and Crimea, do not force Russia to live by international law, the war will not end.

  1. Breanna is not just an anchor/journalist but a solid human being that knows how to ask questions and most importantly listen.

  2. I think Russia really underestimated the resolve of the Ukrainian people and Russia is realizing they bit off more than they chew.

    1. @Mark Neal lol no.
It’s Russia barely gaining ground against old hand me down NATO gear, some new stuff and cheap Turkish drones.

If NATO was boots on the ground they’d be filling sandbags in Moscow.

    1. because the corporation is a capitalist first. terrorist is in the fine print, you need to learn to pay more attention.

    1. @Rick Cummings Russian AA is protecting it and Ukraine wants to keep aircraft losses to a minimum

    2. @Redtail206 I am no military tactician, but couldn’t they distract them with a drone or two, and launch a couple of missiles at the same time? Maybe a couple of torpedoes mysteriously appear out of nowhere at the same time?

    3. @Rick Cummings The Ukrainians don’t have that many drones, so they might not feel like it’s worth the risk. However, you aren’t wrong that Ukraine has the capability to do it.

    4. As long as the world community, Europe, the United States, all together – and, of course, with the active and direct participation of Ukraine – do not force Russia to leave Donbass and Crimea, do not force Russia to live by international law, the war will not end.

  4. So, recapping; bridge up = army moves. Bridge down = army stuck. Got it, thank you. Amazing insight on a very nuanced subject.

    1. @Chris jones Seems that if a drone can take out a fast tank or a boat, a bridge would be easy. Bridges don’t do evasive maneuvers

    2. Well said Sod …. “why do they want the bridge” asks one, answer …. to get to the other side !!! LMAO

    1. And made a foothold on the other side and fortify until the new Pontoon bridge connects again.

    2. @steve jette I’m not sure but I know it was taken out shortly after a small number of Russians crossed and those guys are now stuck with no retreat of backup.

  5. It’s mind boggling to listen to Putin about global security, which is the least of his concern

  6. Wow, just pathetic.
Now we have someone explaining the significance of a bridge during war.
    Really?

  7. “The world is in more peril from those who tolerate evil or encourage evil than from those who actually commit it.” -Dr. Albert Einstein, March 30 1953

  8. Bridges are pivotal to military strategy? Thank you Captain’s Obvious! It’s all so clear to me now!

  9. Well that just gives the Ukrainian forces a priority high-value target.. Wonder how long it will last or of it’s still there?? Nice to know the last 10yrs of the U.S. training is paying off for Ukraine! 😃

    1. new Plontoon bridges are easily built. Army engineers are trained to build them. blowing ip bridges only delays inevitable.

  10. As the four hundredth anniversary of Columbus first voyage approached ,the idea of finding the map became a quest for the cartographical Holy Grail.”ever since Humboldt first called attention to the Cosmograpiae Introductio, “Geographical journal declared at the turn of the century ,” no lost maps has ever been sought for so diligently as these of waldseemuller. It is not too much to say that the honour of being there lucky discoverer has long been considered as the highest possible prize to be obtained amongst students in the field of ancient cartography.” Yet no copy of the map turned up -and as the final decade of the century approached ,some specialists began to dismiss the search for the map as a waste of time .”Much of what is written about the gymnasium of St. Die and waldseemuller,” wrote the towering cartographical authority ,Baron Adolf Erik Nordenskjold in 1889,” has been a useless exhibition of learning” .

  11. Doubt if one pontoon bridge will suddenly alter the balance of forces. Ukrainian forces will destroy it just as quickly.

  12. This may be a good opportunity and another tactical mistake for Russia. If Russia tries to mass units across that little pontoon bridge the Ukrainian military should have the weapons now to take them out. I do not know the logistics but there may be a silver lining here. With the drones they may be able to stay on station and watch for targets. Also, bridges have been pivotal in every war. Read some history.
