It’s an unprecedented call for Attorney General Bill Barr to resign. More than 2,000 Department of Justice alumni say Barr’s actions protecting Trump require him to resign. Donald Ayer, Barr’s former colleague and former Deputy AG under George H. W. Bush says Barr’s attacks on the rule of law is “un-American.” The New Yorker’s David Rohde joins “The Beat” to discuss the “troubling signs” for Trump’s administration and reports on Barr’s theory that “the president can be in charge of all prosecutions.” Aired on 02/17/20.

  1. It’s about money. Trump promised Barr that he would be rich beyond his wildest dreams. That’s how Trump corrupts his officials.

    • Barr has always been dumb.

    • & putin. he has had his oligarch’s give millions & millions to key white, powerful men in the business world & politics. & then blackmails them to do what he wants, which is to accommodate his infiltration & takeover of this country. & donnie is the perfect evil, goofball, moron to go along with it & live his dream of ultimate power. & turkey & others are using jared kushner for their evil intents. he is in over his head & they know it. they befriend him & who knows what’s going on with that. these trumps think they are so clever & smart, but they are being exploited at our expense.

Let me guess you’re a feminist Democrat.

  2. William Barr is Trump’s personal toady and protector. He should resign. He is a traitor.

Billy Barr has always been a Republican apparatchik. Party first and everyone else can pound sand. Pathetic partisan hack.

  4. Could this be the ‘Electric Banana’ republic Donovan sang about?
A bona fied modern-day electrified banana republic.
btw, Barr looks personally corrupt because he is.

Impossible for Mr. Barr to continue his cover-up “covertly.” Duh.

  6. Since acquittal tRUMP has only learned he is above the law. THANKS GOP SPECTACULAR FAILURE. Of course it’s autocracy of course it’s fascism get real

  7. The real question is, why does Fat Donny and his germ squad get away the everything and do what they want? I have a problem with that.

  8. Whatever,
Trump knew what barr was gonna say before the interview,

  9. Let’s be real. No one in their right mind believes for one second that Trump didn’t have a conversation with Barr about reducing Stone’s prison sentence.
Barr is basically doing for Trump what Sessions refused to do.

The Mueller report detailed Trump’s reaction to finding out about the special counsel investigation.
On May 17, 2017 then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions told Trump about the special counsel investigation.
“When Sessions told Trump that a Special Counsel had been appointed, Trump slumped back in his chair and said, ‘Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my presidency. I am f—–d’” according to the report, which based its retelling of this conversation on notes taken by Jody Hunt, Sessions’ chief of staff at the time.

Trump then became angry, according to the report, and “lambasted” Sessions for his decision to recuse himself from the investigation.

“How could you let this happen Jeff?” the president said, according to the report.

Trump told Sessions that the Attorney General was his “most important appointment” and said Sessions had let him down. Sessions told investigators Trump told him “you were supposed to protect me.”😂😄

Trump knew that the AG was going to be his most important appointment because of all the crimes he had already committed, and because of all the crimes he knew he was going to commit after he was sworn in. Trump came into office with criminal intent on his mind.

  10. Who needs ISIS when you have Barr and t’rump doing more damage to America than any terrorist group could ever dream?

    • The Trumpian Taliban.

    • Jam Who
Tell the economy to Obama, he saved the economy from Republican excess that caused the biggest recession in history. He set the economy on a growth trajectory that TreasonousTrump is still ridding. Treasonous gets credit for not screwing the economy up… yet. There are warning signs. Under Treasonous Trump Capital Reinvestment is negative – meaning no companies are building factories, buying equipment, or doing product research. This is ironic because that was the whole excuse for giving Corporations Tax Cuts. 🤔

    • There is little hope, that America will unscrew itself. All this did was, turn patriots into government skeptics. If there is no unity or identity with our country, state, our local community…then it’s every man for himself. I am the nation of one. I don’t care what the rest of you do. ISIS is not my problem. My only problem is trying to figure out, how NOT TO PAY MY TAXES. And to those “gaming the system”, in one-way or another, I salute you. I hope to be among you soon. (So far, it looks like Trump is gaming the system the hardest).

Good luck suckers…keep voting. It should change very soon. 🙄

    • @Jam Who Yea. Here we go… So if the economy was not doing so hot he would be a crook? You guys are just something else.

  11. Does this dummy actually think that Barr and Trump didn’t clouded a script before that interview? Benefit of the doubt, my a**

  12. Don’t listen to Barr’s words, look at his actions.

  13. Bill Barr’s father gave Epstein a job “teaching” college girls when he was a young sexual predator. Barr started his career lying and covering up for Reagan and Bush. He’s a perfect little trumpturd.

    • @Pitbull Romans 5:8 creepyville. i can’t stand these sick m f’er’s.

    • crocusflower ◀️ pedo and wears a tin foil hat.

    • Neptune calling | February 17, 2020 at 9:22 PM | Reply

barr visited epstein 2 days before his murder……epstein was allowed the company of a female, in his cell,,…i think this story is only the tip of the iceburg….barrs coldness about the rapes and molestations of these abuse victims is chilling.

    • I look forward to the day the FBI leads all these grifters out in cuffs. There will be celebrations all over the world.

    • Dark towers comes out tommorrow… Buy it.

Seems jeff sessions may have dumped the Deutsche bank case against trump when trump took office? Why? Ask him then ask Barr to start that investigation into russian money laundering and trump.

  14. Wake up guy!!!
He can’t do his job with rump’s tweets outing his actions!! Rump is blabbing/tweeting barr’s criminal activities, that is making barr ‘s job harder!!!
Barr needs to resign and take rump with him!!!

  15. “Trump behind Barr”

  16. I’m through giving Barr the “benefit of the doubt.” Puh-leeze!

  17. Barr has covered up for treasonous pedos like Trump and Epstein his whole adult life.

  18. The American public needs to sign one of these for him as well. Lets start one for him and Trump to step down. They are both un-American!

  19. Sandra Vanderleek | February 17, 2020 at 8:41 PM | Reply

He’s had the benefit of the doubt countless times. He’s only putting out the statement as a rouse. He’s in full complicity with Trumps personal agendas and not the constitution, the law or anything to do with integrity.

  20. What a laugh: we are now an autocratic dictatorship. Barr of course won’t resign

    • Not yet. If America re-elcts this nakedly corrupt dictator then yeah its almost all but over. Republicans need to realize a dictator regardless of party affiliation would destroy everything, including themselves.

    • Maxx, Barr *can* be impeached.

    • Dark towers comes out tommorrow… Buy it.

Seems jeff sessions may have dumped the Deutsche bank case against trump when trump took office? Why? Ask him then ask Barr to start that investigation into russian money laundering and trump.

    • @Mary Rodger that is if they don’t first round up the dissenters and throw them in a concentration camp. Trump’s base would amazingly support such a thing which shows how far we have descended.
