Upset By Fauci’s Message On COVID-19, Trump, Right-Wing Media Attack The Messenger | MSNBC

Dr. Anthony Fauci has found himself in the crosshairs of both President Donald Trump and networks like Fox News after he warned against opening the country too quickly. Trump claimed Fauci’s remarks about reopening schools, made during a Senate briefing on federal coronavirus response, contradicted what Fauci had told him privately. And several Fox News personalities have attacked Fauci’s credibility, and said his expertise should be dismissed because he is an unelected official. Aired on 5/13/2020.

  1. There seems to be little acknowledgement of the fact that schoolchildren are a great vector for the virus, it’s not just a matter of how it effects them.

  2. This disgusting person so called President, does he really believe in the site he is telling

    1. @Johnny Wheels I am an Australian. We are not communists. We have long been America’s allies. We have treated the virus as a virus, and not as a political football. We have lost 98 lives so far, to the virus, out of a population if 28.5 million. We do lots of testing with strict lockdown rules. We respect each other’s right to breathe. Each OTHER’S right to breathe.

  3. Trump being a fat failure does not surprise me. He can’t fight anything on logistics or reality so he has paid henchmen cry foul.

  4. And to think that there are people who will still vote for this piece of sewer life named Trump.

    1. @ray 86 Good for you, admitting that it is fake news that you love the big turd. Now you are catching on.

    1. @Gods Servant Dogs Servant be quiet, you sound very stupid. Now type something real stupid. Go ahead we are waiting. Moron.

  5. Problem is that an infected child can go to school and infect other children, who will then go home and infect their families and the cycle will start over.

    1. People should never underestimate other people AKA Hitler AKA Saddam Hussein AKA a lot of evil people

    2. Trump knows he will lose, let the kids go back to school on fall. So it give him the upper hand of killing children indirectly of opening the schools. There’s already a discouragement to voting with young people anyway. Why press forward for school when this thing can harm kids or young adults?

  6. His only concern is how the economy looks right now towards the end of his presidency. He doesn’t care about lives!! And Fox News you’re full of 💩🤬

    1. So underated comment!!! Too many Redundant Words
      -Disease usually attacks
      -Disease targets a persons health

    1. And in other countries, (with a far lower death toll,) it isn’t political. Its just a virus, and that’s how we approach it.

  7. Do they realize that adults have to be in the schools too? Do they know that children can have diabetes and other immune deficiencies? Also a non-trivial amount of people who recover have organ damage, and neurological problems.

    1. Plus they can get their parents, grandparents, aunt’s,uncle’s,teachers, busdrivers, custodians sick also.

    2. Leisure Muffin there’s also so many kids with asthma but he didn’t consider that 🤦🏾‍♀️

    3. Thank you for mentioning this fact. I was astounded when I heard about the long term impacts of contracting Covid. The statistics on the viruses mortality are deceiving considering even if you “recover” you’re not fully recovered. This needs to be brought up more when people mention ideas such as herd immunity or it’s just the flu.

  8. The GOP was hyperventilating about Obamacare “Death Panels.”

Now, Trump and the GOP cheer killing scores of thousands—if we’re lucky—to protect billionaire yachts and Trump.

    1. Tim Downey

The uber-wealthy have been having a difficult time weathering this economic downturn. Bless their needy hearts.

    2. As a doddering geezer, I never worried about Obama’s death panels.
I DO worry about Trump’s deadly lies in a public health crisis.

  9. “it’s had very little impact on kids” tell that to the over 100 NYC children who have had multiorgan failure from covid

    1. Not to mention that kids can still be carriers and infect older people and people with underlying conditions.

  10. Who the children’s live with?, they have to go home with parent and grand pa and ma, omg I’m lost.

  11. “Is this the guy you want to invest all your trust?” Yes, it is. He’s an expert, not a profit-seeking news source.

    1. @Johan Nilsson well maybe you can afford that, but most can’t. You can’t starve people to death in the name of possible outbreak and death. The balance is very crucial here. How many lives can be saved with continued lockdown, and how many lives will be ruined with the same! You must choose the less horrible out of these two. And I can’t see a case for the former. Besides, the whole point of lockdown made sense only because it had the purpose of flattening the curve to buy the country time. Now move on to the next phase. Learn to live with the virus. Adapt!

    2. @Jagriti Kakati but if more people died that less people we have to work too make the economy bounce back sooo yaaa if more live once this thing gets under control we can bounce back faster….

    3. @Jagriti Kakati Agree with your observation, but if given a choice between financial ruin and death, I’ll opt for the former. The point is, we can open up the economy in a safer manner than what the current administration has been proposing.
