  1. Uhmmm, that was either a terribly lacking explanation or I simply missed something. (I’ve a PhD . . . Not too dumb.)

    1. It’s still a ridiculous system, no matter what excuses are made for it.
The population of Montana was only 1,068,778 on July 1, 2019, while that of California in 2019 was 39,512,223. If Montana gets 3 points, California should get 118 points, NOT just the 55 it now gets. This idiotic system should have been scrapped a very long time ago.

    2. @Jeslyn Thalappillil because electoral college rules over popular vote, thats just the way it works out there…..pretty dumb imo

    1. @wigglecat122111 Trump has torn this country apart. Americans are dying of the coronavirus and Donald Trump has done nothing

    2. @Dylan Green And what would a Liberal president do? What can ANY politician do? Since when Politocians solve medical problem??? How stupid of someone to expect any of those goofballs to do anything valuable.

    3. @Dylan Green yes because trump is completely responsible for everyone’s actions lol maybe think for yourself

    1. @Tracyann The 20,000 Somalis that Obama killed by drone bombing might say the same. I mean, if they weren’t dead.

  2. Electoral college–sounds like drmocracy gone amock. A presidential candidate can hsve a majority of the electorate voting for him/her but loose the election. Too much Koolaide for too long but not enough to put an end to such an anti-democratic process!

    1. Conservatives had the most votes in the last election here in Canada and lost the election.
I love how Canadians think they are supporting to Americans,
How about a Trudeau’s promise of electoral reform?
Yup not happening because he knows he would lose.

    2. @Lin A Yes, and the Liberals had more votes in every election that Harper “won”. Just sayin’, Tory assclown.

    3. How do you justify a popular vote in a republic of very different states? How should NY be able to decide for Kentucky etc?

  3. I know how it work. It is a special college for American presidential candidates. They must ATTEND to qualify for the top job. The main courses are how to argue out of your failure, common decency, simple math (+ & -ONLY) ,character assignation and other vital skills, The keyword is ATTEND. Passing grades are NOT required.

  4. The Electoral College is not just flawed, it’s antiquated. Comparing anything of the 1700’s to the 21st Century is something only a mentally challenged person would do, so why is America doing it? Because mental illness in America is an epidemic that has been growing out of control for 300 years. That’s a LOT of mental illness and in a nation that doesn’t have free healthcare, it’s only gonna get worse.

    1. Canada’s parliamentarian government is worse it belongs to a monarchy that does not do any thing it is definitely an antiquated system as well , changing something that you have been using for 200 plus years does not happen over night i am sure computer ballots would be faster and way more accurate probably be easy to register and regulate too

    1. @Dirty Dish Dave your vote as citizen counts for the entirety of the state or more over the electoral votes. The more popular candidate gets that states vote, like if the majority of California voted Biden then Biden would have that states votes

    2. Electoral Votes are determined by the census; why do you think Democrats made a huge fuss over the immigration question on the census? Can’t fudge demographic numbers if you have to legally state your immigration status. California would lose an electoral vote or two along with a senate seat if they didn’t have a river of illegal immigrants replacing everybody fleeing the state.

    3. In a plan dumb way of explaining, u don’t vote for the country as a whole u only vote for your state so if u lose in states with maximum electoral votes n win in all other states u still lose, in more simple manner if ur from a small state ur vote is less valueable than a state like California.

  5. Trump already has enough points and is leading in Florida, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Gonna be close but its a trump win. In before we have to wait a week to call it because our overlords at google say results may not be final and truckloads of biden votes suddenly appear.

  6. That’s why it’s a stupid system, you get all the votes in one state, imagine having that here, Ontario would be California.
