The way the system is (intentionally) set up… if wealthy investors aren’t making a profit, then the economy will fail, because they’ll just sell off their stocks at lower prices, and many corporations wouldn’t be able to survive the regular consumer market without the money from those investors. When that happens, tons of people lose their jobs, supply chains collapse, and no one can afford anything, so everyone just goes into debt. Obviously, no one will have healthcare, and when it gets really bad, like in the Great Depression, people just starve to death because they can’t find work. Everything spirals into chaos, because we need to make sure that greed is always rewarded.
