my marine friend has lung cancer at 36 yrs old. was the first deployment to go into Baghdad.
Over 50 years ago my brother camped for 2 1/2 years in Ethiopia while surveying the country for the Army’s Map Making Mission. They were supposed to burn their trash and garbage daily, but so many of the native Ethiopians were so poor they begged the soldiers to just dump it at the waste site and leave it. Every day they came back to find the site completely cleared, so they never burned their trash. They didn’t know the health benefits they were getting.
My wife ,a 20 year, three deployment veteran of the Army is One of these people. A decade later, she still suffers bizarre, unexplainable rashes on random parts of her body. They burned Everything…even materials designed Not to burn. Jet Fuel was a favorite lighter fluid.

Pretty sure he falsely claimed he brought them home. In reality, he just moved them around like pawns and betrayed our Kurdish allies.
