A vigil was held near Miami, Florida for the dead and missing from last week's condo building collapse.

The flicker of candles and glowsticks dotted the oceanfront Monday night as a group gathered for a meditation and moment of silence on the beach near the site of a collapsed condo building just north of Miami Beach.

The death toll on Monday rose to 11 after first responders pulled two more bodies from the rubble, Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said. There are 150 people still unaccounted for.

After the gathering, the group walked to a growing memorial near the building to lay flowers, notes and candles. A chain link fence is so full of sentimental ornaments that it is barely visible.

  2. God did not allow this to happen. This was a straight up negligence from repairing the foundation that should have been done since 3 years ago. Lawsuits are going to happen for this negligence that cause hundreds of deaths. 💔

    1. I love when you give God credit for all the great achievements, but blame humanity for the horrible things. Based on your last name, you wouldnt even know about your god without your ancestors being brutally massacred and infected by the missionaries of the same god.
