First, I thought the town hall in Philadelphia was real! I like the diverse questions and that the moderator chimed in with facts and that the went over the amendments between breaks. To those that said Trump was treated unfairly they must have confused the purpose of Town Halls with a prep rally!
Second, I was impressed with this lady’s question and her life story. Although it was disappointing to hear that she didn’t vote in the last election and was still not sure about voting in November until she spoke to someone that immigrated from another country. No matter what, I am glad she will be voting In November. I’m familiar with her disease and she should be proud that she has accomplished so much, she used her voice to she’d light on others that are in similar situations, and that is living a full life in spite of her health conditions.
I also want to say that Trump repeatedly admitted last night to withhold money and resources to democratic run states and cities. Which should be illegal! Also there are a mixture of people from various political parties all across this country so for Trump to think that only democratic live in certain states and republicans are unemployed and fighting Covid-19 (his logic and reasoning skills are ridiculous). Time-and-time again Trump shows that he only cares about himself. The United States isn’t his empire nor should the live of Americans be gambled with!
Finally, most people think the opposite of hope is hopelessness, but in fact it is apathy. Most people don’t vote if they don’t get 100% or even 50% of their needs and demands met. Unfortunately they treat local, state, and national elections like a popularity contest… If they don’t get what they want they checkout instead of holding “elected” officials to their campaign promises and meeting their requiring that they meet their constituents needs.
For the love that is all that is true and good, please remember that while you still have blood coursing through your veins, a brain wave, a heartbeat, and the ability to think and make choices please remain optimistic, stay hopeful, and VOTE (for it is your voice in the USA)… And if you choose not to vote then you are in fact giving permission for decisions, laws, and rules to be made on your behalf by those that you oppose!
