  1. The German government pays restaurants 70% of their last years’ revenue if they have to be shut down. Too communist for you, i reckon🤦🤦

    1. @Dark Soul it has a quarter of the US population and is the 4th largest economy on the planet. What’s your point?

    1. @S. L. Nicholson I can begin by looking at you having the same kinds of needs that I have. that’s a start, right?

    2. @Alan Paulsen yes, we do need policy changes . . . and we need to help one another see things differently together.

  2. It’s deplorable that the bill is sitting there waiting for approval, bet it’s on Mitch McConnells desk…the graveyard for bills, help is stuck in the rut along with unemployment benefits etc

    1. Republicans believe only “illegals” work in the service industry, so the can all go “back to where they came from”.

    2. @Alan Paulsen Janet Yellen’s so called Keynesianism just means expanding the global inflationary asset bubble to a proportion that bailouts of the “Derivatives Elite” are no longer possible. Covid, Acquisitions, Mergers and Leveraged Buyouts. You thought Trump was into chaos and “creative destruction” ? Just wait.

  3. Said from the beginning of this pandemic we needed to put bars, gyms, restaurants, airlines, etc. on life support with aid from Congress. Just one more area where Toxic Trump and Republicans spectacularly dropped the ball, needlessly costing lives, jobs, suffering, and long-term damage to our economy.

    1. Funny how those with assets are protected during an act of God, while those without assets are revealed to not be the objective of governments; living for money means dying for nothing.

    2. @Steven Porter ~ Well spoken, except would amend to “not be the objective of Republican governments…” Democrat’s Hero’s Act and other legislation past and present consistently seeks to serve and protect the least among us. That isn’t to say think there haven’t been times they might have done more or tried harder, but overall Democrats do make a good-faith effort on behalf of poor and working class Americans.

  4. Trump was praising the Stock Market today , here people are waiting hours for something too eat . He is so detached from the real Americans!! Good bye Trump !!!

    1. @David ZZ the market went up because of good news about the vaccines. That’s the second reason. What you said about him being fired is the very first reason. Just another Trump land display of narcissistic beliefs. Remember when he said ” only I alone can fix it”. I think millions of out of work Americans, and 253,000 dead and their survivors disagree.

  5. When Joe Biden gets into the White House, he will expand the EBT program, and there will be much shorter Food lines.

    1. @Nancy Chasteen Isn’t it sad that they have nothing else to do. Sad, too, that they have no wish to learn – just a bunch of hateful parrots.

  6. Funny how those with assets are protected during an act of God, while those without assets are revealed to not be the objective of governments; living for money means dying for nothing.

    1. I would have thought any responsible government would put up a package to help small businesses? Did this not happen in the US? I know it happened in both Australia & NZ with both businesses & workers who got (& some still getting) payments. You need to keep your economy going. Add rental assistance with as well.

    2. @Pete Pav No! Our government (USA) does not take care of small businesses or its citizens. The government only takes care of giant corporations and its elites. The problem is the government has be infiltrated by corporate lobbyists and donors that write legislation benefiting only the 1 percent 😥

    3. @Alan Paulsen I’m sorry Alex. I just thought they did. Down here, people losing their jobs got $1500/fortnight package (now $1200 until March next year), small businesses got a job stimulus package aimed at keeping staff on their books while the lockdowns first started and the hit on business overall. I attached a link outlining what they did (& still doing) for small businesses, the core of any economy if you’re interested. Our govt is a conservative run one with similar philosophies to the Republican, so it’s not different in their values to yours. I hope you guys nail this filthy disease & soon.

    4. @Alan Paulsen I got to add, that this stimulus package helped in our recovery a lot. The initial lockdowns worked, schools have been reopened since June 1, Professional sport since June 1, weekend sport for kids & adults since July 1, as close to return to normally, given the hanging threat of Covid as we can get. 50% stadium capacity in our state, 45,000 turned up at our recent NRL final. NZ even better, packed stadiums of 40,000 at recent Rugby Internationals, no masks required. The downside is we can’t travel overseas.

  7. Mitch McConnell is the great destroyer of small businesses.
He rather give millions to his rich sponsors, and blame the Democrats.

    1. And the Suckers and Losers The none Believer Put Downm,Our very great of the greatest Men and Ladies are comming to help take care . Of Trumps mess.He caused with his help from his GOP Cronies. The sick and dying in different state Hospitals .Thank you God for ourc Wonder Service Men and ladies
Love All of you Please take care.

    1. Don’t give him (-)10 – Give Trump .. .Zero, Trump was irrelevant until we both GOP/DEM parties gave Trump Platform to Spread the Viruses of Treason, Web of Lies … Etc.

      Regards,

  8. TX evangelicals love him, but Ted Cruz does not in any way make me think of Jesus Christ. Ever. Not once. He’s a conman.

  9. Republicans only think about their personal “freedom” and never consider their own responsibilities. No one should ever mention the word “freedom” without also mentioning “responsibility” in the same breath.

  10. Disgusting that my country leaves us hanging, that’s what happens when corporations own politicians, the people suffer. God Bless Us.
