  1. How can I feel so proud to hear a speech by a former president and first lady of another country, while I feel so ashamed of my country on this day of commemoration of Brazil’s independence with this current Bolsonarist government!?

Como posso sentir tanto orgulho ao ouvir um discurso de um ex-presidente e primeira dama de outro país, enquanto sinto tanta vergonha do meu país neste dia de comemoração da independencia do Brasil com este atual governo Bolsonarista!?

    1. We need to hold on to moments like this one, and use it as a beacon to push toward. If we never saw great examples like this, we might give up.

    2. @esobed1 Thank you for this… profoundly true and beautifully stated! We must continue the work…
the struggle is real and beyond necessary!!! 💪🙌🙏

    3. @Sonya Roland Folks minimize the times we are in now… this is like a sped up version of the 1920’s 30’s, globally speaking. This can turn very ugly if we are not careful and repeat some of the same social and political mistakes. ( Imagine ww2 with hypersonic missiles, A.I. propaganda algorithms and nanotechnology… with nukes)

  2. I respect the friendship they have with the President and his wife. They also had a genuine friendship with The Bush’s. They have remained classy and with integrity during, before and after their time at The White House. I pray God’s continued hedge of protection over them and their family.🙏🏾☺️

  3. As a canadian,we see the USA conspiricy craziness seeping into our countrytoo. Lets not be weak, it’s up to us to get rid of the hate, and leave our next generation a peaceful country.

  4. At a time when it was in fire need. Black or white be damned! We are above that as Americans. My Sincere thanks and admiration go out to your family and your future.

  5. Michelle brought me to tears with her speech. For a girl from Euclid Avenue to grace the wall at the White House with a beautiful portrait shows all of us that America can still be that beacon on the hill if we remember we have more things in common than our differences.

    1. @Suz K there is absolutely nothing wrong with her portrait it is the very picture of Grace and femininity
