  1. “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
    ― George Orwell, 1984

    1. @anita parker And yes, dumping your nonsense on me is insulting my intelligence. Keep that crap to yourself or engage someone who doesn’t know any better.

  2. “There will come a day when Donald Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain.” Savage burn.

    1. @Aisha bint Abu Bakr agreed, RE: “no evidence”…the videos/tweets/document excerpts were quite sufficient (and very incriminating) for this being first of many hearings to come…

    2. @Marcela Vargas
But you SHOULD care! It is YOUR FREEDOM that’s at stake!
We are supposed to be a free and the most powerful country in this world but yet came that close to losing our democracy and our republic! Are you truly okay with that?
We all want our economy to be fixed but it is a worldwide problem that cannot be fixed on our end only. And if you are invested in the stock market, you should be able to see that there are a lot of companies taking advantage of this situation, especially the oil companies! When they make more profits than ever before yet continue raising their prices … when they have untouched drilling rights but yet demand for lands to be opened to them for drilling … When those rises in oil prices have their ripple effects and affect all other prices to rise …
But it is so much easier to blame politicians instead of recognizing that there are other factors at play!

    1. @Maria Garcia yes, there will be, you just don’t want to hear it. But just because you don’t doesn’t mean it isn’t valid.

    1. I guess most of the world was watching waiting for the outcome. Would Trump ve been successful I do hope that the other democracies in the world would ve gone ahead massively reducing contact, trade and relationships with the US

    2. @Fritz Haselnuss Trumps 4years did harm US and indeed the western country disappointment, unfortunately blow in politics happens everywhere just hit hard if happened in developed countries

  3. Yeah I don’t get why people don’t realize whatever side your on we all live under the same constitution.

  4. Excellent presentation. It was everything from her that I hoped it would be. There were high points and low points of the night, but her moments were the highest point of the night. She backed up her words with evidence from HIS CABINET.

    1. @Andrea Mortimer As speaker of the House she is responsible for Capitol security, 4 days prior Trump autherized up to twenty thousand National Gaurd troops be deployed, Polsi Schummer and the D.C. chief of police turned down that request, it’s documented, but I’m pretty sure that won’t be brought up here and her E-mails are not supeanable (? sp) sorry my spell check committed suicide!

    2. @Jimmy Walker
I’m afraid your information is wrong!
This is from the D.C. National Guard’s Site:
“The D.C National Guard was formed in 1802 by President Thomas Jefferson to defend the newly created District of Columbia. As such, the Commanding General of the D.C. National Guard is subordinate solely to the *_President of the United States._* This authority to activate the D.C. National Guard has been delegated, by the President, to the Secretary of Defense and further delegated to the Secretary of the Army. The D.C. National Guard is the only National Guard unit, out of all of the 54 states and territories, which reports only to _*the President*_.”

The Capitol Police Board, which oversees the Capitol Police, did request assistance from the National Guard after the riot broke loose. While a member of this board, the House sergeant-at-arms, does report to Pelosi, there’s no indication that Pelosi prevented this official from calling the National Guard. Furthermore, another member of the board, the Senate sergeant-at-arms, reports to the leading Republican member of the Senate, Mitch McConnell. There’s no evidence that McConnell prevented this official from calling for support either.
Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser also requested for the National Guard to be called in during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. That request was denied by the Pentagon, not Pelosi.
In March 2021, Major General William Walker, the commanding general of the District of Columbia National Guard, testified before a House subcommittee that he relayed a request from the Capitol Police for military support to the Army at around 2 p.m. It wasn’t until after 5 p.m., however, that request was approved by the Defense Department.

  5. The documentary film of the two leaders of the Proud Boys together, in the hotel basement parking, with the Oath Keepers, are priceless….it pins the conspiracy between the two groups, both of which are loyal to Trump….if not for him, there was no eyewitness nor photographic evidence…

  6. As a 24 year served Army Veteran this is hard to take in to know about a former US 🇺🇸 President. This is so embarrassing that the rest of the world see what has happened in our USA 🇺🇸 💔

    1. Do you find it embarrassing that we are still auditing the 2020 election and many states have ramped up their audits because of discrepancies found!

    2. Me too, I’m a Vet and I was there after the day if insurrection. Another Veteran and I had to walk away because six Hispanic women yelled at the Veteran F. I. And I told them that he is a citizen and should not be treated that way. They ignored my request and the police got in my face and screamed at me to shut up, he was absolutely pathetic. It is embarrassing and this is what soldiers and other service members came home to to see this ugly attack on the oath we held upon to protect and defend the Constitution of The U.S. . It’s a dark day, and as sad and horrible as 911

  7. Section 3 of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution: No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.

    1. @Nick Stein What are you talking about, lmfao there was no National Guard back then, it’s the right of the people to defend against a tyrannical government. Had absolutely nothing to do with the government controlling the people, it’s the people the government works for. If that’s too difficult to understand try picking up a book and don’t make claims about others when you’re so ill-informed.

  8. “Just say the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me…”

    -Donald Trump

    1. And Donald Trump was the Commander and Chef of the Armed Forces, OMG! Seemingly; like Hitler, it was like he wanted to be praise like a god, and take over the world. However, his supporters did praise him like he was a god. May God continues on blessing the beautiful truthful Liz Cheney.

  9. Much respect to Liz Cheney for standing by her convictions and upholding her Oath to the Constitution. This may very well end her political career, but she has the courage to stand up for truth and what is right and for our country.

    1. @Mary Grant just because the truth may hurt it’s still worth it. How can you say that when they are just getting started? why don’t you actually listen with an open mind and then form an opinion. But no, you come here and stamp your feet and say it’s wrong but you won’t even listen to the evidence.

    2. @Lichan11 I watched the 2 hour hearing, plus the preview hour before the hearing. I will be watching all of the hearings. I take notes.

    3. Liz Cheney, will be remembered in 100 years! In ten years no one will want to wear a MAGA hat in public!

  10. As an Indian, I have seen and heard of many coups that take place in the Asian and African countries. But this is the first investigation on an ‘attempted’ coup that has shed the light on what goes behind closed doors during a coup. People who still support trump and his ideas need to understand what could’ve happened and why it is bad. It is the prerogative of the American people to understand this moment in history and to make understand to those who refuse.

    1. Same. The lesson for me is: set all prior assumptions aside and is unite with other patriots who are working to save the integrity of our Constitution. Once our country is passed this crisis and is safe, we can then go about disagreeing on the issues once again through our elected representatives.

  11. I have never been a Liz Cheney fan. But I have new found great respect for her because of her patriotism and principled stance around the insurrection. She’s a warrior.

    1. @dragonstalking Telling the truth is a part of being a patriot, and not spreading BS that can hurt your country. You agree, right?

  12. “There will come a day when trump is gone but, your dishonor and shame will remain” BOOM!

  13. “To all my republican colleagues who continue to defend the indefensible… There will come a time that Donald Trump will be gone but your dishonor will remain…”

  14. Cheney was magnificent last night! Win or lose in the August primary (and I’m not betting against her), she’s playing the long game, and even if she’s out now, she’ll come back later. I can well imagine a hybrid Dem-Rep presidential ticket with her on it in either position. I may not agree with much of her politics, but her fidelity to the Constitution is ferocious, and if I were Putin, I wouldn’t want those eyes staring back at me across the table.
