@Mike Obrien It doesn’t matter if Bolton is lying or not, at this point. His being blocked from testifying speaks volumes about trumps and the GOP fear of him talking. They are even trying to block publication of his book in the interest of “national security”. This, to a man who was trumps own, hand picked national security advisor who would know what he can and cannot say in regard to national security issues.

IHCTerra LoL. The economy was not doing great before Trump was elected, but he was working on it before he took office. The economy took a sharp turn up when he was elected because businesses had confidence that they weren’t going to be regulated and taxed to death.

@Chris Lockwood It’s called propaganda. Cast doubt on the competence/honesty/whatever of the other candidate to lessen their support. One of the most notorious cases of this happened in the 1800s, when one candidate accused the other of having a thespian for a sister. Apparently, many of the voters didn’t know that a “thespian” is just an actor, because it worked. They count on ignorant people who don’t investigate facts on their own.

If he says it was a “perfect call” and that he’s innocent, he should allow witnesses to exonerate him. Going further, he should testify in his own impeachment trial, like President Bill Clinton did.
