    1. @lasali 3 Oooo! It is all a Conspiracy. Who knew? That is why gas consumption has gone down while power in cars have went up. Ah you are one of those, “I am a Republican but” Bots. You were never a GOP Supporter or Conservative. How about you start by removing your own Carbon Foot Print to save the World. Do it in a Carbon Neutral way though.

    2. @exexpat11 1970, Ecologist Kenneth Watt told Time that, “At the present rate of nitrogen buildup, it’s only a matter of time before light will be filtered out of the atmosphere and none of our land will be usable.”
      what happened?

    3. @exexpat11 The fat orange clown does not care for american values, he degrades it and lowers the average american IQ in the process.
      Hes a bad salesman who inherited his wealth then stamped his face on water bottles, went bankrupt then pretend to be a self-made entrepreneur. He only cares about himself, not even his own family (look up Trump’s nephew). Facts

    4. @lasali 3 oil subsidies?   funny,   you could cover the entire US land mass, every available acre,  with your MASSIVELY government subsidized wind farms, and they would not produce enough energy to match current consumption.  In fact,  not one wind farm has ever even paid for itself let alone produce a profit,  thank you MASSIVE government taxes. Carbon footprint,  look up what producing batteries for your wittle ewectric  breadbox roller skate sized “eco friendly cars does to the environment,  way more damage than an F150.

  1. Notice that Koch industries isn’t explicitly mentioned, even though they’ve made billions off destroying the earth for personal profit. Oh, I guess the Bush family did, too. Ask Jenna. She works at MSNBC.

  2. The GOP are always the slowest kids in the class. And somehow, they’ve bullied themselves into power to protect their donors. Would love to think the GOP is finally going to lift a finger for the earth, but it’s more likely a false ploy for the 2020 election.

    1. bellamoon- No we are not going to fall for the LIE of Man Made Climate Change because we worship the Creator not creation! Luke 8:24 ..The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm.

    2. @Trumpocalypse Most of the people who are going to die in the greatest cataclysm in the history of man have already been born,” wrote Paul Ehrlich in a 1969 essay titled “Eco-Catastrophe! “By…[1975] some experts feel that food shortages will have escalated the present level of world hunger and starvation into famines of unbelievable proportions. Other experts, more optimistic, think the ultimate food-population collision will not occur until the decade of the 1980s.
      no hull that is a statement from a leftest phd wingnut.
      he was wrong then and he is wrong now.

    3. I remember Paul Ehrlich,  read his population  bomb book way back when.  Winters here are long and cold as ice,  you have to read something.   30 below at some point that winter, as every winter since.  Guess what?  It reached 30 below last winter,  it will reach 30 below this winter,  come on,  please come to my home and argue global waming with me this coming January,  I dare you!

  3. What we need is World Electricity Network like internet today. That way we can send solar electricity from one continent to another. When is dark in US, we in EU send you our solar electricity and vice versa. Lon to NY, Tokyo to LA, south to north, west to east 24/7 365 days. High voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission is not new thing. China for example have today link of 2000miles 12GW.

    We can do it!

    1. @Kloko Loko
      I am serious about my carbon footprint. I commuted by bicycle 25 miles a day for 20 years. I drive a toyota echo, it gets 42 MPG without being a hybrid.The whole idea of mining and manufacturing batteries for electric cars seems like “one step forward and two back” to me. I live 6 miles from work, I ride my bike whenever I can, but I am a senior citizen with back problems, so I can’t ride every day, like I used to. I don’t use air-con at all. I don’t use heat in the winter. I never fly. I know some folks that use even less electricity, they don’t have a TV and use one lightbulb in the house. There are folks that use even less. They are the homeless that sleep around the library where I work. If you really want to commit to save the planet, become a bum!

    2. @MeanGeneSanDiego,  you do realize carbon is essential to life on this planet, correct?  You do realize there are millions of people north of San Diego who have to heat their homes, no?   Where I live it gets to 100 in the summer, it gets to 30 below in the winter,  come here and ride your bike one day,  you will be dead!  Hard working people here feed the world.  Spend one winter in Winnipeg and then tell everyone about your global warming.   People living in paradise are so ignorant.

    3. @Whiskeysuds Jackwagon So, you just proved my point! Did you also read the part about bums being the “greenest ” people…
      My point is that no one wants to make the smallest sacrifice. Today is the worldwide walkout to demonstrate against climate change. People want to sue the petroleum industry. I think it’s ridiculous! Blame the Corporations!!!! I saw a doc. about a family that did all this “green”stuff on their farm to minimize their carbon footprint, then they talked about how flying to Europe for a skiing vacation. That would wipe out everything they did. Heaven forbid they would not go on vacation! I propose that we have a worldwide speed limit of 55 to cut down on fuel consumption, like we did during the “gas crunch” in the 70’s. I’ll bet people would scream bloody murder! I know the rethuglicans wanted to impeach Carter for the speed limit. People are so dependent on oil, it’s really impossible to really make a meaningful change. Even with what I do (that you ridiculed) I still produce at least 6000 pounds of fossil CO2
      a year. Like I said, the people that are “saving the planet” are the indigenous “tribal” folks, and here in the US…Bums!

    4. @Kloko Loko climate crisis ,you mean like this one;
      Ehrlich sketched out his most alarmist scenario for the 1970 Earth Day issue of The Progressive, assuring readers that between 1980 and 1989, some 4 billion people, including 65 million Americans, would perish in the “Great Die-Off.”
      or this one;
      In January 1970, Life reported, “Scientists have solid experimental and theoretical evidence to support…the following predictions: In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution…by 1985 air pollution will have reduced the amount of sunlight reaching earth by one half….”
      or this wooper;
      Ecologist Kenneth Watt declared, “By the year 2000, if present trends continue, we will be using up crude oil at such a rate…that there won’t be any more crude oil. You’ll drive up to the pump and say, `Fill ‘er up, buddy,’ and he’ll say, `I am very sorry, there isn’t any.’”
      stop with the liberal marxist talking points,there is no climate crisis and maybe if you had any brains we could talk,but i thank not.

  4. To the people with money and no imagination.. we need electric hovering cars so plants can take back the roads, plant trees, and a solar powered world and we can put this stupid tiny man made problem behind us.

    1. Si ms god I have to respond twice to that your so dumb. Tomorrow when the sun comes up, go outside out of your moms basement so you can see that our sunlight still shines in the sky to imbecile

    2. @John Brown I would suggest that you start looking up in the sky. Don’t look at the sun, but do notice trails left by many of the larger jet aircraft.
      I have been studying it for the past 15 years or so.

  5. Look at the “hockey-stick” graph. It shot straight up almost a hundred years ago, with much less fossil fuels burned then than now. Only a complete cessation of fossil fuel burning would even begin to make a difference. We are already f**ked in any case.😥 Sad, but true.

    1. It’s all fake junk science.. Science is now a cult. even an atheist like me can see it. Electric cars are the worst they use strip mining and destroy forests and pollute water for a few grams of lithium that only lasts 2 to 3 years in a car you pay your life savings for.

  6. The thousands of scientists who can prove that man did not cause global warming their voices are muted by the media they are ridiculed fired and even worse.

    1. @xlioilx In the 70s most Climatologists were predicting warming. Peterson The myth of 70s global cooling consensus Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society.
      Fail.

    2. There is an overwhelming consensus by Climatologists on the validity of the Greenhouse effect theory.
      You’re a looney conspiracy theorist.

    1. Except solar panels are inefficient and horrible for the environment. They tend to catch on fire as well.
      The batteries for electric cars cause more harm to the environment during their production than a combustion engine ever could. Also, for example, there are 2.6 million cars registered in NYC. Where will everyone plug in their cars to recharge?

    1. Ron Wuerch: Actually, if you look at the records, the climate has most definitely changed. Do yourself a favor and get your information from scientific sources instead of
      special interest sources.

    2. @Trumpocalypse I have pictures of spraying over my house from 15 years ago. Trails that grow, not dissipate. It’s no secret, and now openly admitted. Oh, but like carbon tax, it’s all for our own good. Wake up Zombie

    3. Of course climate changes,  tell me when it was ever static?  However,  actual evidence points to the planet’s climate as indicating earth is heading into another ice age in the distant future,  but you want to control the population so you sell your  carnival con man stories to the gullible for $$$.   You do know actions have consequences and you will be judged for everything you do?

  7. good news for a change! The Guardian,.. a UK newspaper… in a piece by Fiona Harvey states that GHG do not persist in the atmosphere… hold on, there’s more good news… there is also no latency between emissions and effect… and the “carbon removals” agreed to 5 years ago in “Paris” are not necessary at all! we just need to do a little more of what we are already doing!!!!

    1. @lasali 3 I’m not scared at all. Tired of losing yet? Maybe you guys can drag out Lurch Mueller again during these hearings and have Cory Lewandowski dismember him on CSPAN.

    2. @exexpat11 Russiagate is a joke not an argument. What about climate change, still a chinese hoax? 2017, 2018, 2019, all record temperatures.

    3. @lasali 3 “Climate Change” is a hoax. I suppose China, India, and other 3rd World Nations that do not have to comply and will not comply thought they would pull another fast one on the US. Hillary would have taken the cash and destroyed our economy. Maybe she thought it was Arkanciding the US on a Grander Scale.

  8. Why don’t u ask INDIA AND CHINA OR RUSSIA BECAUSE AMERICA HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GODS CREATION.STOP PLAYING GOD BECAUSE IT WONT END WELL FOR U.

    1. Jim Menard- As the LORD said these people worship creation rather than the Creator who has the power over the Sun, Moon, Stars and the Climate on this earth!

  9. There is a brain drain in the US. Leading scientists, researchers and start-ups looking for the next idea are either leaving or, in the case of investment, decided to look elsewhere. The most common reasons given: Muslim ban and anti-immigrant rhetoric, erratic trade policies, antiscience attitudes and grants and other govt assistance for innovation cut. In 2017 Trump’s Muslim ban was big news. In Canada, a $125 million pan Canadian Artificial Intelligence strategy saw companies like Google, Samsung, Amazon, GM and Facebook announce an expansion of their research operations in Canada. Canada didn’t offer any incentives. The $125 million went for research, expanding STEM programs and supporting academic programs, like a new Research Institute at the University of Toronto bringing together ethicists, scientists and business leaders to look into the best ways to take basic research and turn it into a product or business. Many of the companies expanding their research capacity also contributed millions to Canadian universities. Google was asked why the expansion in Canada? It was a combination of cutting edge research underway, excellent education programs, immigration issues and quality of life. When Trudeau announced his new cabinet it included Ministers with specific responsibility for science and innovation. None of this should be a surprise, the Governor General is Canada’s first female astronaut. Marc Garneau, another former astronaut, was also appointed to the Cabinet. Just as farmers as losing their markets because of the tariffs, business will need a good reason to disrupt what they have been building.

  10. If Liberals had to live like the Amish, they would run so fast to their Air Conditioned, State of the Art appliances homes and hide!
