Well, the sooner we re-open the sooner we will have to shut down again, and for longer this time, so. . . Personally I’d rather save lives; keep the kids home from school and keep social distancing until we get the vaccine and eliminate Covid from Canada.
@Tidbit There are no other corona virus vaccines. There aren’t even effective animal corona virus vaccines, despite trials. We’ll see. It may yet prove to be wishful thinking.

@Jonathan Szwed Reducing the infection rate and isolating contagious vectors is what eliminates the virus; the vaccine will help with this, tremendously.
I dont understand where the NDP thinks the money is coming from. As it stands right now the future financial impact is going to be crippling. That’s assuming we completely stop spending right now. Of course will we need to spend more just to help wean those off support now but a reality check also needs to be given.

I am on a pension and my wife has some UI hours to meet this but because I am on a small pension she can not get any thing. How the hell is this fair to her. Punishing her just because of me. That’s not right.
