#1 Alcohol is a diuretic, even though beer “rehydrates” you because it’s mostly water, it’s never absorbed properly.
#2 You *need* fat and protein, you cannot just live on carbohydrates. There’s _some_ protein in some beers but there’s almost always no fat.
