The House of Representatives has seen a tumultuous 48 hours. On Tuesday, GOP leader Kevin McCarthy failed to secure the required 218 votes to become speaker, forcing a second-round vote, an event not seen in the chamber in over a century. After a total of three contest yielded no winner, the House adjourned. On Wednesday, when the House reconvened, GOP representatives continued to struggle in reaching a consensus.

Representative Byron Donalds serves District 19 in Southwest Florida. Born in Brooklyn, New York he moved to the Sunshine State for college, originally attending Florida A&M before transferring to Florida State University where he graduated with a degree in finance. Post-grad Donalds worked at TIB Bank, CMG Life Services and Moran Wealth in Naples.

He was elected to the Florida State House of Representatives in 2016, then later to the House in 2020. During that race, Donalds beat out six better-funded Republican opponents in his primary, securing a narrow victory.

    1. @UnclePutinAnnex TheShitoutofmedaddy I agree. Someone fresh and new so we know he’s most certainly a Trump guy. Knows finance. Descent speaker. Should throw his voice a little more. But I wouldn’t mind him. As long as he will go forth with the plan of investigations and exposing the swamp…

    1. Democrats- don’t listen to there voters.
      Democrat voters- govern me daddy.
This a how it’s supposed to work. It’s called debating. The 20 holdouts are the only politicians willing to listen to the people who voted for them.
It’s also very cringy seeing someone post that Republicans are clowns when ur side destroyed the country and became fascist. Ur a Nazi now. Congratulations. Ur the clown. Who takes there kids to see the drag clowns? O ya, you guys.

    2. Democrats’ history: pro-slavery, founded the KKK, pro-jim crow and NO the parties never switched because Al Gore Sr. Died as a racist Democrat who filibustered the civil rights act. Democrats simply got smarter but they’re still the same evil party that uses progressive tactics to advance their evil agenda.

    3. @גדי Gadi correct. Democrat president Johnson said the Dems will have n words voting for them for 200 years. All they had to do was project their racism back to the Republicans. They still do it to this day. They use the black man’s vote. Than the black man cries about systemic racism. It’s a never ending cycle. The only way out for black people is for them to wake up.

    1. An actual goat? Cause he’s still got a long way to go. But I believe he can be a power in the government. Intelligent smart and good looking

  1. To make things work shouldn’t a house speaker be some one PARTIAN that can work with both parties to let and make things happen, see if it a democrat he or she wont agree with republicans and if it a republican he won’t agree with Democrats. So this part of Government does not work. McCarthy won’t make a good house speaker, he will fill his Power and Put Trump in something again thats does not work for both parties, he’s the one that chose Trump to be head of the Republican party and with all the failures from that, thats why the Rerpublicans want to move away from him and Trump.
