Who pays when Trump comes to town?

When President Trump hosts a rally, it can cost American cities a lot of money — money some say they were promised would be paid back. Chris Cillizza explains why local governments are complaining that they’ve been left with a Trump check.

    1. *GOOGLE: HAS TRUMP EVER BEEN SUED FOR NOT PAYING HIS BILLS!! THAT’S WHY THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF NEW YORK STATE MADE HIM SHUT DOWN HIS OWN CHARITY BECAUSE HE STOLE MONEY FROM THEIR TOO!!🆗✌😂😂😂*

    2. @Field Flower Yeah, I wouldn’t spend a second of my life defending the corrupt Trump, he’s made a life out of conning people and breaking the law. You only touched on a few things did with his charity, he also bought a $25k painting of himself and kept it, with the charity money, he took money out to pay for golf trips and other personal expenses, all of which, including the things you mentioned, are illegal and wrong.
Every news organization now days is biased, some more than others. I don’t watch or listen to either MSNBC or Fox as both represent the extreme of each side. CNN is pretty fair, by independent sources’ reporting, so are: ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and other news outlets. I know, Trump tries to say everyone’s against him and that they’re all liberal, which isn’t true, at all. Just because someone reports the facts, doesn’t make them liberal, or conservative. Trump lies through his teeth and says millions of Californians voted multiple times, yet, independent research has been done that says it’s 100% not true so Trump says, “they’re liberals!”

I feel the same as 1940’s Germans and Italians as they did with their corrupt, dictator-leaders, I can’t wait to get rid of Trump and everything tied to him.
      Have a good one!

    3. @Russell Fine Arts This is the video I watched about it. It’s where I got my info. It’s PBS. I found it.

My problem is with the media not reporting accurately and hyper focused on Trump. CNN doesn’t have another topic.

My choice would likely be Howard Shultz, if he runs, which I hope he does, last week he mentioned it again. If Rand Paul were a choice that would be better. IMO.

The idea that Trump is some Hitler figure or Mussolini is media driven not based in actual policy or practise. But to be concerned about government over reach of power, should lead to giving less not more power to the government in my opinion.

I like Bernie’s personality and passion for people, but the policies are dangerous in setting up more government authority to be abusive.

Have you ever listened to Yuri Bezmanov interview? Here’s a clip.

I think it’s easier to survive a president we aren’t fond of then change to another one that is more likeable, but changes the power balance to make citizen more vulnerable to abuse of power. That’s my opinion. If I had your experience I may see it differently. Buy I’m not sure I would.

      Have a good evening!

    1. Amazing, these idiots don’t even try to hide the fact they are russian bots. No TRUE American would ever support the coward trump.

    2. @Yuri Tarded The irony of a low IQ troll always floats to the surface. You, however, are too stupid to realise you’re an idiot.

    3. @GM Newbold
And there were other vendors who insisted on getting paid first.

The Trunp Org at one point found it hard to find vendors to do jobs for them. They would send out requests for quotes and nobody would bid on the job.

  1. This grifter not only NEVER pays his bills but he BRAGS about it. I think his lawyer bills are they only ones he pays. Otherwise this CRIMINAL would have been in prison decades ago

    1. @Jamtommy1 Your self deprecating sarcasm attempts are almost as lame as the rest of your attention seeking. Keep trying, you’ll achieve mediocre status eventually.

    2. @Daniel Martin Wow those are really big words. You must be really really educated. Thank you for your constructive criticism, and I will definitely keep striving to get to that mediocre status that you have already obtained.

    1. @ CrystalMethhead …The video is about your orange messiah not paying his bills, please stay on point and explain to us how this behavior is okay.

    2. @B Stone State Department official Catherine Croft told House impeachment investigators that at least one unnamed official raised concerns and was “annoyed” about former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter doing business with corruption-linked Ukrainian company Burisma Holdings, transcripts released on Monday show. *And Jeffrey Epstein did not kill himself.*

    3. @Crystal GiddensGood morning! I agree that Jeffrey Epstein was almost certainly murdered and I thought we already determined and agreed that Ukraine was corrupt.

  2. “Will never work with him again!” should be the 2020 slogan, along with “Keep the Crazy Going, It’s Working Out So Well” or “Let’s Burn Any Credibility the US Still Maintains” tour.
I’m sure the GOP will put the slogans on t shirts, pens, lanyards, confetti, plastic drinking straws, gun stocks, and other junk to cash in on from the base.

    1. Gary, Yes! It was all in front of us what a failure Trump was before he even started campaigning for president. You are right about the national debt too! Probably most of that ended up in his pocket!! Vote Him Out 2020

    2. @Donna Humphries Your debt wasn’t because of Trump though. It built up over 20 years. Getting rid of Trump won’t solve that problem. “ended up in his pocket”, his net worth has decreased by more than a billion. So there’s no evidence of that, despite what the media likes to think. Voting him out in 2020 requires honesty and objectivity, not propaganda. It failed in 2016, and it will fail in 2020 if people spread lies simply to get rid of him.

    3. @Dragonblazzer969 I realize the national debt has built up over 20 years. President Obama lowered it tho! More than recent past presidents have. Trump has greatly increased it since he has been in office. And if you don’t believe that, it would be you that is spreading lies. Money ending up in his pocket,or his net worth decreasing, is possible because, as you stated, “there is no evidence”! The propaganda and spreading of lies, seems to be coming from your post!!

  3. As I understand it, he made the Secret Service pay for some specially made golf carts so the SS can follow him around.

    1. @Logical Thinker Not to mention Trump’s hotel in Scotland and Ireland! Sending the military there. The per diem the government gave the shoulders, didn’t even cover lodging and food there either! And that’s just what we know about! What DON’T we know about?!? I’m sure he’s got deals on the side.. Vote Him Out 2020

    2. @Logical Thinker remember when the traitor tarts were whining over Obama’s mother-in-law in the WH taking care of her grandchildren. What a hateful herd.

    1. @El Donaldo Yes, you were. Mine. And there you did it again.
It’s part of the Trumpist profile. Criticise other people for stuff you do yourself while denying that you ever did it.
I need to know. Do you just not realise you are a bunch of raving hypocrites, or do you just not care and can only justify both him and you by living in forced denial?

    2. @El Donaldo And you don’t see self awareness and intellect as being part of the same thing? But that’s OK that’s an education thing… and Trump supporters happily sit there in QAnon shirts and hats demanding to know the identity of the whistle-blower and condemning the Anonymous writer of the OpEd and the book “A Warning” as having no validity by virtue of being anonymous.
If you didn’t have double standards, you’d have no standards at all.

    3. The funny part is conservatives have a higher IQ than Democrats. It was conducted by Harvard. Off you go crying to your mom. Dim-wit

    1. @Daniel Martin health care in Europe Benelux lands you pay 200 t0 400 Euros a month..and get paracetamol or ibruphen tabs… the first 500 to 700 euros of any medical costs is your own risk.
It’s a Mafia scam that Obama tried to start

  4. Trump visits deep red states most…. they love him so much, then let them go broke hosting the KAG 😂
    No sympathy.

    1. @The Giving Family Taxpayers pay law enforcement..most cities have hotel and rental fees attached to their bills.. San Antonio got a half cent sales tax on hotels to pay for the Alamodome..Cops in SA have the best union in the country they get to get away with murder in this City..literally…We make enough money with businesses to offset any cost for security…If you people only knew Hillary’s plans had she gotten in…you would be kissing Trump’s feet..I would bc I know the evil she had PLANNED for this country look up FEMA COFFINS..camps trains..4 billion bullets …they did all that under your noses..look at the d u m b bases Trump is destroying

  5. For a person who claims to be super rich, he seems to have a real hard time to pay a measly $600,000. Maybe he’s not as rich as he like to make himself out to be. No wonder he’s so desperate to keep his taxes private. 🤔

  6. “I love debt. I’m the king of debt.”.
The orange one tried to warn you.
We will all have pay the bill he leaves behind.

    1. Amelia Rodriguez Alcohol and keyboard create one helluva word salad. Trump is a con artist. Nothing more, nothing less. He had never paid his bills. That’s why he can’t get lawyers to work for him. He was hoping he could scam the government the same way his old man did. The government is a lot smarter now.

    2. @C.W. Olson out of those 330 million only 200 million are over 18. Take away the 30 to 50 illegals here including guest workers students etc that leaves 150 million.out of that you have only about 140 million registered voters.. So Hillary stole 5 states before she was caught…the real count was 83 million for Trump.then you have the people that just don’t care so they don’t vote…only 4 percent of blacks vote..mexicans is 20 percent whites are the majority of votes..I can break this down but what’s the point ..your hatred for Trump is more that your love of this COUNTRY

  7. He owes everyone and their mother money for his campaigns and security. Remember his father gave him what he has ,bankruptcy on his business that should say it all. Living on our taxes, that 45 for us,a crook corrupted evil man.

    1. actually, minneapolis mayor did that …trump freaked out…the cult freaked out..the mayor had to go into hiding from death threats …sent his family on a long vacation..
ok..most of that was hyperbole, but trump and the cult freaked out …in the end, dead beat don added to his list minneapolis as a city that he fucked over …

    2. @socal rocks I didn’t know about this. Good for that mayor for standing up to him. If it was any other president, the other 60-62% of taxpayers would be up in arms over this.

  8. I’m not shocked. Cities in ny like Albany have had this happen. It’s ridiculous. He should pay his bills.

    1. Any person not named Trump would be a better President than Trump. So would any cat, dog, lion, tiger, bear, leopard, horse, or moose.
