Dr. Montagnier’s claim that COVID19 is from a lab because of a gene sequence that is similar to the HIV virus. That is an odd claim to make since many other coronaviruses other than COVID19 have the same sequence for genome replication. To take Mantgnier’s claim to be true, you would also need to believe that a whole lot of other coronaviruses, many of which were discovered in wild animals a long time ago, also were lab-made.
Dr. Li Meng Yan…. She posted her study without being peer-reviewed. Her claims have been collectively rejected by the scientific community from all over the world.
Dr. Jamie Metzel is not even a virologist. His own website describes him as a Technology Futurist, Geopolitics Expert, Social Entrepreneur, Sci-Fi Novelist, and Keynote Speaker. Don’t believe me? Google him.
Dr. Richard Dearlove or Sir Richard Dearlove is a historian and former head of MI6. What he said about the origin of the pandemic being an accident that came from a lab in Wuhan, while has merit, is just his theory.
While Dr. David Asher was appointed as the lead investigator for the US investigation team into the origins of the pandemic, he is more of an expert on countering money laundering, terrorism financing, and sanctions evasion schemes. This is also taken from his own biography published on the FDD site, an organization where he sits as a board member. His appointment definitely reeks of political play by Trump and his administration.
So they are still finger pointing at each other 🤦🏾♀️if they worried more about fixing this and less about who to blame there would have been far less deaths

The real interest that will be studied for years was how various countries reacted and what is the best way for next time….and there will be a next time.

Lab viruses are much more lethal than this one. Some say it’s a practice run. So it goes on and on. In the end we were not prepared in the world to act quickly. As for Trump he was not prepared to be president or anything else for that matter.
We were prepared here in the US. The CDC under Obama and Biden had established a 69 page procedure for dealing with an air borne virus after the H1N1 plague early in their administration. But under Trump, anything that Obama touched needed to be destroyed and certainly couldn’t have been taken seriously. You are right that Trump wasn’t prepared. What is worse is he surrounded himself with people that were even less qualified to be in decision making positions than he was.

@Shiro Ishii : The top epidemiologist in the UK said that there wasn’t any doubt among scientists that covid hasn’t been genetically modified. He said it isn’t difficult for scientists to make that assertion. If it came from a lab, nobody in the lab tampered with it. For a lay man to say it’s definitely from a lab is pure assumption not based on any knowledge, but it is still a possibility. The top UK epidemiologist also stated that covid 19 didn’t originate from Wuhan, but probably did originate from China.

A lab source does seem pretty unlikely, but there is really no evidence either way.
“WHO Report On (Covid) Virus Origins …” motivates us, the people of America, to redouble our efforts to rapidly find out at any given moment, including even while On-Line, who among us are unwittingly contagious (i.e. pre-symptomatic or asymptomatic) in order to “Convince It Forward” for them to call their doctor and to self-quarantine per CDC guidelines in hopes of stopping this pandemic instead of having more “Mourning In America.” Thus, we’re hoping for the best while preparing for the worse-case scenario of the “UK variant” strain(s) mutations and others like the South African, Brazilian, Californian & “Cluster 5 Mink” mutations rendering current vaccines no longer effective.
International law should be to report a pandemic worthy virus to all neighboring countries then lock down their borders, and inform the world.
You do know that by the time they knew there was a problem it was too late right? This virus bloomed at an international travel hub. In a country with a billion people by the time they realized there was a problem, it wasn’t just a seasonal flu, it was way too late.
The reality is that we may never know what happened. One thing you can be sure about is China will do whatever is necessary to prevent it from happening again. Ugly as that may be. If it was an accidental release from a lab it is likely heads have rolled already…quite literally. The origins of the disease are important but not as important as developing systems to stop the spread. The best guess was that the Spanish flu started in the USA…yet no one cares.
There are two high tech biolabs in Wuhan, including a Level 5, which is reserved for the most dangerous of biohazards. Plus, all traces of the wet market have disappeared.
You would never know by looking, that there was ever a market there at all. That, coupled with their resistance to any international teams visiting the site, is very suspicious.

America’s top scientists have likewise concluded the virus is of natural origin, citing clues in its genome and its similarity to SARS, or severe acute respiratory syndrome. Vincent Racaniello, a professor of microbiology and immunology at Columbia University, who has been studying the virus since its genome was first recorded, has said it is clear that the virus was not engineered or accidentally released.
“It is something that is clearly selected in nature,” Racaniello said. “There are two examples where the sequence tells us that humans had no hand in making this virus because they would not have known to do these things.”
COVID CLAIM: During an April interview with the French news channel CNews, Montagnier claimed that the coronavirus did not originate in nature and was manipulated. Montagnier said that in the process of making the vaccine for AIDS, someone took the genetic material and added it to the coronavirus. Montagnier cites a retracted paper published in January from Indian scientists who had said they had found sequences of HIV in the coronavirus. AP made multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact Montagnier.
EVIDENCE: Experts who have looked at the genome sequence of the virus have said it has no HIV-1 sequences. In January, Indian scientists published a paper on bioRXIV, a repository for scientific papers that have not yet been peer-reviewed or published in a traditional scientific journal. The paper said that the scientists had found “uncanny similarity of unique inserts” in COVID-19 and HIV. Social media users picked up the paper as proof that the virus was engineered. As soon as it was published, the scientific community widely debunked the paper on social media. It was later withdrawn.
