Often what happened in those Clinton era bills were a few good aspects rolled into wholly bad bills so as to get broad support even if one didn’t agree with the whole message. If Bernie voted against it then people would be lambasting him for not supporting women’s rights. That’s the insidiousness of the Clinton machine, they always present a “devil’s deal” with gotcha bullcrap.
Obviously nuanced discussion and specific distinctions like this is not the currency of propagandists, like your comments show. It’s always black or white.
