    1. @c cheshire LOL Mountain Dew? Yuck. Doritos? It’s been years, although; they’re not bad. I’m tea and water.

    2. @Mr Wrestling You are correct in that every country must do its part in the fight against climate change. I live in Sweden, and we and the entire EU have come a very long way in changing into renewable energy, but we can’t do everything. Just as you point the finger to China and India, there are people in Sweden who point the finger at the US and ask why Sweden has to do everything when we are so tiny (less than 1 % of the world’s pollution) when giants like the US continue to pollute. I like the phrase: If not we, who? If not now, when?

    3. @Johan Nilsson A steady march as technology advances with minimal impact to peoples economic lives. Like I said though, add in all the Dems baggage and I’d rather live with increased pollution.

  1. The average American has little savings and lives paycheck to paycheck. Electric vehicles are expensive. Wealthier Americans can have electric vehicles but most people will drive conventional vehicles that run on oil and gasoline. You are out of touch with reality if you think oil companies are shutting down anytime soon.

    1. One footnote- people living paycheck to paycheck needs to change, a better minimum wage and basic education- keeping a buget, how to use credit cards, get a home loan, it needs to be like drivers ed, everyone takes it in HS

    2. No you’re trying to hold on. They’re looking to the future.
As soon as the electric vehicles show up at the school drop off, you’ll trade up.

    3. @S Dot yep, these dorks completely ignore what mining for lithium entails..tens of thousands of children are mining for lithium in Africa right now, these mines are extremely dangerous..they act like lithium is so plentiful..then when they make these lithium batteries for vehicles, the fumes these plants put off into the air is way worse than having exhaust fumes

    4. @JAS Surely there must be a way to recycle lithium batteries. I did read that it would be difficulty and expensive. That saying they are going to have to do it in the end as the raw materials are going to be expensive as lithium becomes rarer.

    1. @c cheshire Just wondering why everyone else has to worry about climate change except the ones that promote it the most.

    2. @Robert Fernandez Because if they are endangered they will be paid to move. It has happen more then once before.

  2. The denial of climate change is all about money. The tobacco industry did the exact same thing for years when it tried to deny the health risks of tobacco use. It’s always money over lives.

    1. It was Leaded Gasoline (Tetraethyllead) that was first to use the “muddy the waters” playbook tactic that the Big Tobacco took and used from the Oil and Chemical companies..

    2. *Disaster: New Study Finds Biden’s Tax Plan Will Slash Jobs, Cost American Households Up to $8k Each*
      Oct 6, 2020 https://trishintel.com/new-study-finds-biden-tax-plan-will-cost-american-households-up-to-8000-each/

*Joe Biden’s $4 trillion tax plan would reduce employment by up to 3 million jobs, depress GDP (per capita) by 4 to 5%, and slash incomes by as much as nearly $8,000 per household, according to a study released Tuesday.*

University of Chicago economist and Committee to Unleash Prosperity senior fellow Casey Mulligan reveals in his report the strains that Joe Biden’s proposed higher tax rates would have on Americans’ ability to save, invest and work.

Biden’s $4 trillion plan aims to raise the tax on capital gains, corporate income, individual income tax, estates, and small business income taxes. In addition, the Biden plan also expands health insurance tax credits, which has negative labor market consequences.

      *In sum: an economic disaster.*

As I’ve said before, we are in jeopardy of falling back into the high inflation, low wage, low growth scenario of the 1970s, complete with bell-bottoms and sideburns! And, according to The Committee to Unleash Prosperity’s Stephen Moore, indeed, “These are some of the steepest increases in tax rates at least since the 1970s. You have to go back to the Jimmy Carter presidency to find tax rates this high.”

In addition, Mulligan writes that “the Biden tax agenda will reduce production, incomes, and employment by increasing taxation of both labor and business capital. Employment will be about 3 million workers less in the long run (five to ten years).”

These findings are in direct contrast to the Biden campaign’s claims that his tax rate hikes would create millions of new jobs. Mr. Biden voiced these predictions during the first presidential debate with President Trump in Cleveland.

The study concludes that Biden’s intention to only tax the wealthy and those making more than $400,000 is wrong. According to Professor Mulligan, “The incidence of the tax may fall on the wealthy making more than $400,000, but the tax will very negatively affect the incomes of all workers across the income scale because of the reduced investment by businesses,” Professor Mulligan said.

  3. Roc and Ks: The reason fossil fuels and oil are good is because solar and wind based cars and other things are so freaking expensive. Until they drop the prices, then we can talk about switching.

    1. Please keep up to date.

Solar is now the cheapest electricity you can buy in North America. Wind is the second-cheapest. Building new solar and wind plants is cheaper than running existing coal plants, and NG will unlikely to be competitive in a decade or so.

    2. Wind or solar cars are not viable means of transportation. Better off putting a sail on your car. Electric cars are another farce!!!

    3. David Bonn Turn your brain on Einstein!! Making Texas one big solar fat will not provide enough reliable energy compared to one natural gas fired electrical generation plant. Dream on!!

  4. even if we are transitioning from oil it’s not going to be anytime freaking soon, it’ll be a really dumb move to do that right now, the way this affected the election is I’m pretty sure Biden just lost Texas

    1. didn’t you hear? he just literally talked about the transition not immediately moving towards it my dude and Texas has already started the transition they are actually leading the country in renewable energy.

    2. @Ashley New York’s Finest is that seriously all you could think of? Then you laugh at your own joke. Definitely from New York smh

    3. It would have to be a slow, gradual transition in any case. A $2 trillion investment into anything other than tax cuts for the wealthiest or more military bloat sounds good.

  5. Because there’s a lot of nit-wits who believe that giving a bunch of nit-wits money will save them from their appointed doom?

    1. Your gas guzzler has a shelf life either way at some point you going to be trading in for another gas guzzler or over hauling either way you are going to be paying. I’m sure there will be tax write offs to help to make that transition to electric cars down the road.

  6. Science deniers are dinosaurs. They told us climate change is a hoax in the same way they told us covid-19 was a hoax. It is true just because they wanted it to be true.

In 1918 there were deniers of the Influenza pandemic. By 1920, there were very few. 50 million deaths was hard to argue with.

  7. Make sure we all go out VOTE🙏 Vote *”UNITED NEW AMERICA”* 💙
    Vote early if possible. 👍
*-Too big to rig, too many to steal*

    1. Exactly! The DEMOCRATS ARE RUINING THIS COUNTRY AND ITS DEMOCRAY! DONT WORRY AMY WILL FIX IT 😊

  8. Now do a story on Rudy Giuliani’s patriotic relationship with Russian agent Andrii Derkach. Russia will make America great again.

  9. So you mean to tell me that MSNBC’s “gotcha” moment is showing us a GMC commercial showcasing electric vehicles? lol yeah… okay…

  10. In a global pandemic and economic crisis, climate change ranks just above what Matthew McConaughey had for lunch on my list of concerns.
