@Keith Adams I never liked Fuckchi. Never ever. I learned about herd immunity and instantly understood that was the lowest body count solution. I was likely among the first to publicly advocate for herd immunity. My limited understanding of economics after reading a few dozen books and countless hours or seminars told me that for every tick up unemployment the death count goes up. Forcing people to stay home and isolated would increased earth. The list goes on and on. I railed against the blunt instrument of lockdowns and making outdoor areas off limits. I said shelter the vulnerable and let the virus die out on its own. That was a soon as we understand the deaths were mainly from the elderly and otherwise compromised. But no, had to be stupid completely blunt shotgun approach like stupid government workers do when they run things. Lame.
@Piktor Music I’m a believer in God almighty but I don’t blindly go by what the popular theory is. I know a little about science and worked my entire life using it’s principles, therefore I respect it. No one is 100.% right all the time, including theologians and the “prayer warriors”. There can be a cohesive belief in science and God as far as I’m concerned. Maybe I’m the odd man out but I’ve always been that anyway.

@Deborah Freedman Almost everyone i know who does not wear a mask is doing so BECAUSE it is mandated. As a protest against the government’s heavy handed shutting down of businesses and power grab. If the government respectfully requested/recommended masks, it would be a non issue; many more people would wear them.
I believe masks are somewhat effective, so i wear one. But i also recognize the alarmingly unchecked governor mandates. It is shockingly authoritarian. So i respect people who outright refuse saying “Nope. Not in America.”
Remember, the people who refuse are generally living in small towns, being required to follow orders designed for Seattle, etc.

Exactly which video did you watch? Did you know, the states with the tightest covid restrictions are the same states with the highest infection rates? On the flip side, states like Florida are open. Wide open. No one is being forced to stay home. No business owners are being fined and threatened for simply trying to save the business and feed their families. Do you consider the ability to gather with friends/family a civil liberty? Here are a few Fauci quotes for you: “Whenever you have the threat of a transmissible infection, there are varying degrees from understandable to outlandish extrapolations of fear. Right now, in the United States, people should not be walking around with masks.” He also said “”Top disease official: Risk of coronavirus in USA is ‘minuscule’; skip mask and wash hands”, and “no evidence that masks outside the setting of the hospital worked.”
Jordan asked Fauci a simple question- at what point can we open the country and let kids in schools and people go back to work. That’s it. If you were a business owner struggling to stay afloat, or a worker who is forced to stay home and is close to losing their home and can’t feed their kids, I’m pretty sure you’d wonder the same. There is zero evidence lockdowns are working. Even the nations of Europe have found this out. Italy, which was totally shut down, had an INCREASE in cases, their economy was hurting, and the people were going mad. They did a 180 and opened up. No sudden explosion of cases. Florida proves it. CA and NY have higher infection rates. So please, do your own research. Form your own opinions based on facts. Don’t let the media spoon feed you.

So why are the Dems insisting on keeping the economy shut down when there is clear proof that even with the tightest restrictions, the rate of infection is no better and in some areas even worse than staying completely open? Do you think gathering with family on holidays should be punishable by prison? That’s not liberty. That’s the opposite. @PA Mike California, Texas, Florida and New York have had the highest COVID numbers. When the numbers are in free fall is when states generally begin to enforce more measures in order to help stem the flow of infection. And tighter restrictions do help, but are often lifted again too soon in concern for business and commerce dropping. The answers in preventing infection is in masks, social distancing and where possible avoiding all but essential trips away from home. But there is the problem in people who must work or live in conditions that make keeping a distance between themselves and others greatly difficult if not impossible.
