  1. It’s not a “gift” to get our OWN money back during a crisis!! 😡

  2. $600 is just fine for a bunch of people who find $600 in their couch cushions.

    • @One Love Matthew 5:22. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

all due respect better than nothing??? Id take nothing and can deal with nothing because other are out there worse off than me and note im dollar tree broke but i dont have kids. Theres people starving SITTING in lines for hours with kids for food banks about to lose everything… And thats better than nothing? Whats $600? In my state and city you be lucky with small family (husband wife baby) to partial save for rent, you buy food, pay the energy, gas for work(if you can work), phone bills, shall i go on? Rent here in CO is up in the $2000 for a cracker box. Let me ask you this If a bully punches you, do you tell and let it happen again? or do punch them back and never let it happen again? We need to stand up and demand our leader nut up or shut up. Give us our hard earned taxes back not some stuff that go to black projects. No im sorry screw $600. What if this vaccine doesnt do what it was intended to do? People need help. I saw a neighbor crying on their porch a month ago wondering what theyre gonna do…. 600$ enough????

    • @addison lindsay Donate your part then.

    • Be grateful. And I thankful.. praise the Lord! Hallelujah anyhow…

I would like to see McConnell trying to get by with 600 a month .

  3. The surge will probably continue into February due to new year’s celebrations.

@Susanne Grabowski Actually, people have been celebrating Christmas Solstice Fireworks, crowds of 500-1000 downtown just in Fairbanks. A lot of things going on here all over the state, and there still is a decline. The large majority of people don’t believe the news anymore, the people got the true numbers in this state and that has changed things. There was no organization etc. just crazy. It is amazing when a community steps up and says we are going to get the truth, moves in like warriors and WOW! Big difference. There are still the alarmists trying to put fear into anyone they can, but they are getting beat up. You are right it is rural here, but these local Alaskans are a different breed…Locked and Loaded with NO FEAR…Portland and Seattle etc. could use some of that attitude and their cities would not of gotten taken over and destroyed by a bunch of punks. Horrible what is happening and the citizens are just watching….?

I pray that Vice President Pence don’t even count the votes on Jan 6th. No reason too if a Republican objects the election with a 2nd. It’ll be over TRUMP 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!

    • “The surge”. Death has always existed (especially those 75+ already past life expectancy), in fact the overall death numbers are *no higher* than the previous years.

So collapsing the country and small businesses as a reaponse is not over some illness.

    • @Kevin L. Houghton Why are you hijacking this thread? Stay on topic. Go make your ridiculous comments on Parler or AON.

Question why even pay taxes if we can’t even get the money back in crises like this 🤷

    • Because the government has decided it’s best if you don’t know what your money is being spent on… A clue though you will find in the bill the House sent forward. The majority of our money in that bill goes overseas far far away. We don’t get any of that. It’s specifically for friends of our government.

    • @J Thomas you are heartless, so your family members survived the virus, what about the 300 Hundred plus people that died from the virus. Please be careful what you said, because People are still hurting from losing their love ones. I lost a friend from the virus. She called me at work and she was doing good and coming home in a few days, but two day later it took turn for worst and she passed and it still hurts. So I’m assuming you not getting the shot (covic). 😞😞

      Tax revolt!!!

    • @basket of deplorables I think what that means is our tests and testing strategies are garbage, but not that COVID-19 is a “hoax”… the one doesn’t necessarily follow the other, does it?

    • @J Thomas what you’re saying doesn’t make any sense, because can’t compare those illnesses to covic19 because you could still be out and about and worry about getting sick and died. The numbers don’t lie over three hundred thousand died from this virus.😞😞

  5. $600?? Is that all you are giving to the citizens of the richest country in the world? What a joke America has become.

    • O know u right

    • How have you sufferred financially during the pandemic that you need more than $600?

    • @AOMan A honestly that makes sense. But there are still people without jobs and bills to be paid in debt. Don’t think saving businesses that let works go will fix that.

    • @Mr. J So, they should increase unemployment payment by area so those few people of this nation can get by? Instead of just throwing money at everyone under 75K income. The vast majority of families earning 100-200K do not need a stimulus check. Even those with 2-3K rent can get by.

    • Yeah. Too bad it isn’t funny..how many ppl will buy hollow points with their new found winnings

  6. Who else is tired of all this winning🤪

    • no way.. i love winning lol

    • The greatest winning in the history of winning. Some say the most impressive greatest winning in the history of winning.

    • Me. I would pay to watch him and his cabal tortured and killed in the town square. I get that now. There need to be teaching moments.

    • This is the working of the dems,,my red state been open for 6 months, I go to the gym 4-5 days a week ..no mask, no problems either, not 1 person got sick, hmmm..sounds like a plandemic,,,trust me, the left will be turning on all citizens, the ppl that voted for this, will be the first to yell at the sky..

@AOMan A honestly good to hear more support for people coming into place.

I’m from maple syrup land eh. Had decent payments throughout. I haven’t used them as I’m self employed but still good to see.

    • @Anthony S2K04 no evidence or fraud brought in court. Cases dismissed and thrown out. trump got beaten.

    • @Leah I’m sorry you “lost everything”. It’s hard to imagine to lose everything unless you started a small business that went under. But for those who lost a decent job, would still on average be collecting unemployment at the rate of 55K/year. Which is pretty good for sitting at home. You also mention taking care of elderly or comprimised family members. So you are talking about those who had to quit their jobs so they could care for family. This is a small percentage of the population. I would bet that there are more people making more money on unemployment than their salaries before Covid under the 75-100K/yr threshold.

    • or a dose of an expensive life-saving medicine

    • @AOMan A unemployment only supplies 1/3 to 1/2 of the income you lost. I have yet to meet anyone that gets that much unemployment. Take a look at unemployment forums and read for yourself. That we lost from government shutdowns and all the other things that came along with it. And no.. taking care of family can be done outside of work hours. How are you so one minded? There are so many scenarios… but it is clear you feel how you feel. So be it. I do truly hope if you are ever in need thru no fault of your own that no one looks upon you the way you look at us who are hurting now.

  9. It’s not a gift. It’s my money.

    • I bet April 15 going to be a wake up call for the gov..anybody who owes will be pondering, do I send it,,or let them come n get it, hmmmmm..

  10. Things our tax dollars pay for:
    ✅ 6-figure Congress salaries
✅ State of the art Congress healthcare
    ✅ Billions in foreign aid
    ✅ Billions in corporate bailouts
❌ Aid for regular Americans 🤬🤬

    • Don’t forget those crucial Gender Education programs in Pakistan! Just $10 million!

    • Those “billions in foreign aid” are just an alternative pipeline that feeds the corporations embedded in the lands we are ostensibly helping. Sure, a few decimal points actually reach the people who are earmarked for assistance (mainly for optics in the way of photo ops), but don’t mislead the not-so-aware public. It’s not billions in “foreign aid.” It’s billions funneled under the guise of foreign aid to corporate entities for the enrichment of their CEOs et al. Edit: We, as Americans, could easily afford to aid our own, as well as those abroad, _if_ we shut down the robber-barons that have overtaken our governmental taxation “system.” I have zero hope that this will ever happen, but it is the reality that no one seems to be willing to acknowledge. I am tired of hearing about “billions in foreign aid.” That simply isn’t a f*cking thing and only serves to demonize/vilify those who desperately need our compassion, assistance and, in some cases, guidance. We are so far off our nation’s original course, that we can’t even see the shoreline of what was once our single-minded destination: “Liberty and Justice for All.”

    • I know. Sure wish the conservative right actually cared about any one of these. Pick one. Please?

    • @Maekong omg I love you!!! Well said

    • @Maia Harb you are exactly correct. People looking for a conpricasy can easily find one. That being said, maybe there is a conspiracy. Did you get the shot yet? I didn’t and maybe. I won’t. Just saying.

You can’t “GIFT” taxpayers their own money. 😐

    • What is it about cnn viewers that think once they pay a bill like say taxes that money is still theirs? Why don’t u go request all taxes be returned to you today? Why don’t u ask for all the money back from any and all bills that u pd? Is this silly enough to make my point or is your need enough to make u entitled to it?

  14. The timing of this makes it difficult for EDD recipients. They will have to reapply for benefits! Seems like gratuitous cruelty by the politicians. Merry Christmas!

  15. I’ll believe this stimulus check when I see it in my account.

  20. Can’t believe people are scrabbling for $600 of their own money when corporations are getting billions.
