Donald J Trump has never taken responsibly for his entire life, and distraction has worked for him.
This pandemic that he knows he has done too little to address, has killed over 130k humans, and he can’t avoid the fact that he was on watch and let it happen.
Putin has continued to be a threat to our citizens, and Trump only made excuse after excuse in defense of this madness. Trump made excuses for Kim Jon In, when North Korea sent back an American that they tortured to death. Trump did nothing in retaliation for the murder and dismemberment of an American resident reporter. And now, with this deadly COVID-19 sweeping through our nation, Trump has his own base risking their lives to his pleasure….
On and on, Trump has shown Americans that he is not for Americans, and as long as he thinks he’s fooling anyone, he will continue to distract while pushing the only agenda that has ever really mattered…himself.

True but not so sure the anti-reality community is as narrow as he thinks. I have plenty of friends and parents of friends who will defend their way of life and way of thinking by voting Trump. And those are all people I otherwise regard highly – they are not generally dumb or delusional. They are compassionate caring people who happen to think Trump is the lesser evil compared to the other evil. If you have a choice between two evils, people will tend to fall on BOTH sides with regard to who might be a little less awful, so it really could go either way, with luck deciding which way the dice will roll on voting day essentially. Also note that to convince these voters it might be good to not imply all who like Trump are racists by definition. If you do that, you ensure Trump’s followers will not vote for Biden, because they would have to buy into the position that they and likely most of their friends were or are racists. The labels are attached firmly at this point, and they are probably going to stick.

Many of the monuments in question were erected during Jim Crow and in response to the Civil Rights effort in the 1960s to oppress the descendants of slaves and intimidate them so that the white majority could continue to oppress them. They need to come down. Relicate them to museums where they can be put in the proper context.
