My mom was my Number One of the Century. She worked at a job for years and then stayed home to raise the kids. Her first husband dumped her with their daughter and she met my dad who was also a divorcee. Always loving, always there for you, and she spoke up when she didn’t like something. She was a Depression Kid and went through the War. But you never heard her say how tough things were. After the war and the depression, she thought life was never better. She was never interviewed by USAToday so she won’t be on the list. But I miss her forever.
